A friend of mine was an Austin gun shop owner, and had an NRA sticker on his truck (no business sign on truck.) One day this dude behind him starts honking his horn, then races around and flips him off. Idiot follows him to the shop, and my buddy gets out calmly and asks the guy what his problem is. Guy says he hates guns, hates the NRA, and that people who own guns are dangerous wackos. My buddy says if that's the case, was it a good idea to follow him and flip him off? The guy jumped back in his car and took off.

To be honest, I don't really spend a lot of time thinking about how my display of a decal makes you feel; because I'm not a limp-wristed pansy* who would feel threatened by a decal and ergo I tend to assume that others feel the same way. Now that you've made me aware of that situation, I feel sad. Very sad for you. I'm also kind of skeptical that we're friends since I don't tend to pal around with pajama boys who are scared by decals. I know several gay guys who are strong, resilient men who are not offended by decals and my choice of words is unfair to them.
