The fedora looks good on men who have enough confidence to pull it off. A neckbeard would look like a neckbeard in any hat...because he's an insecure neckbeard. The difference between the neckbeards and me when it comes to the fedora? I make this look GOOD.

EDIT* So, based on the claims that I must be balding and generally hideous under my goatee, I shaved my beard this am before work and took a pic to present the alternate view with neither goatee nor fedora. Now, based on my own consideration of this new pic on page 9, I am not a hideous chud...aside from the need for a hair cut. Which look is better? |

I have a fedora style hat I wear at the beach. Made of straw. After I judge the current year's women's swimwear styles I pull it down over my eyes and snooze under the umbrella.
There are no hat check girls anymore. There is generally no where to hang a hat in a restaurant. There used to be places under the seat in front of you at a movie to put your hat. No more. If you're a churl you can wear your ball cap while you eat your spaghetti but a fedora would look ridiculous. |

Some member did once post a pic in one of these threads. He had one of those tropical fedoras with a tan suit IIRC. He actually pulled it off, but that is very rare. Normally it looks incredibly out of place, and poorly executed.

You have to have high cheek bones and a very strong jawline to pull off a fedora. No doubt, many people couldn't pull them off when they were popular either, but nobody cared or noticed because everyone wore one.
