If u cant determine when the timing belt was changed. Have it done

No POSITIVE documentation on timing belt change? Assume not done. Involves timing belt, idler assy, water punp, crank and cam gaskets, and other misc stuff. If you just change the belt and idler, and if any of the other things go wrong, you are back to square 1, as timing belts cannot be re-used.
Not cheap, but that's doing it the right way. It's a LOT cheaper than a bunch of bent valves, and maybe cracked pistons or cyl head.
Body parts will probably be a little hard to find, running gear will be fairly easy to obtain. A lot of these cars were modified by kids, so one in original, VG condition would be a bit unusual. If the motor's not already junk, and nothing else is seriously bad, then with the initial purchase price, plus a full boat timing belt job you are still well below market value. Wouldn't surprise mi the brake calipers were rusted frozen, either, so that's a few hundred bucks to fix. Even so, still below market value, and if you keep the documentation, the repairs add value to the car on re-sale.
