thanks for the well wishes. He is awake and alert, but in major pain as you would guess. Hospital staff is really to be applauded, as they have been great. Detective stopped by at 9pm to check on him at the last visitation period. Perp will be caught hopefully soon.

He returned fire and the ex (turned and ran), The girlfriend grabbed the little one and ran out the door looking for help, as to which the ex shot at her twice, luckily missing her and the baby. Perp is still at large, as he lit out of the apt complex, and has not been seen since. Threatened other police officers who attempted to contact him and asked him to turn his self in, and not make matters worse. Nephew is lucky to be alive at the moment, and he realizes that he should have shot as soon as the ex kicked the back door in, but did not want to leave the child without a father. Moral of the story... A restraining order doesn't mean shit, and if someone kicks your door in at 130, shoot first and ask questions later. Nice way to start a Sunday... The kid never really had a father to begin with, and your nephew almost died because he did not realize that from the start. Hope he makes a full recovery,...........it's going to be an expensive $$$ lesson for him for sure. |
