Where the laws are tolerable, I tolerate them. Where they are intolerable, I break them.
To put it another way - my interest in the law is limited solely to understanding the potential consequences of my actions. I feel absolutely no duty to obey the whims of another merely because they assert authority to force them upon me. |

Recently, I've been surreptitiously hanging gold and silver chains and jewelry items inconspicuously from tree branches in parks. Have also been "dropping" coins and dollar bills along the places where my dog walks me. Not too many; just a few for folks to find. They always get found. Littering, I know.....but sometime you've gotsta do what you've gotsta do. |

I force people to think.
I was at an Independence Day party and a liberal man sat next to me and in one of the conversations he boasted about being proud of electing the first black president. I asked him what Obama had done that made him the proudest. He said he was looking forward to voting for Hillary Clinton as the first female president. I asked him what other than her mammary glands and vagina would make her a good president. I told him that I judged a candidate by the content of their character not by the color of their skin. The rest of the table cut big grins and nodded. |

I claim 99 on my W-4 form. Fuck Federal Income Taxes Withholding! I'll just write them a check for $20,000 come April 2016. Why give the .gov a loan over the year so Shaniqua Rottencrotch can swipe her EBT. bc if we had to pay once a year people would start to wonder why they need so much of the fruits of their labor. To answer OP, open carry is heavily restricted in Florida. Pretty munch only in transport to or engaged in fishing, hunting, camping and target shooting. I go fishing a lot. When I'm President I'm going to do away withholding completely (on the way to a flat tax) and force people to write a personal check every month for their federal taxes. I work with a dozen engineerings - numbers guys each and everyone - at a recent dinner party I challenged anyone of them to a bet that they couldn't tell me within $100 how much they pay in federal taxes a month. Nobody took that offer. We don't see the money so it doesn't hurt. If the power bill goes from $43 a month to $79 a month in the summer we're bitching ... but the hundred of dollars a month in federal taxes ... nobody notices. Sort of like state debt and federal debt. My families federal debt is $114,070, my state debt is $22,324. If I moved to a more financial sound state like TX my state debt would drop rise to $22,540 but my federal debt is still over $114,000. Source |

I take every opportunity available to explain to employees exactly what effects the various laws enacted by the people in office have on their employment, compensation, and job security.
Why can't I be more lenient on granting excused absences? Because the people you elected enacted laws forcing me to abide by specific procedures for specific work absences that guarantee you the right to be gone from work for those specific reasons. Because the state unemployment benefits office is a crap shoot on awarding benefits to people fired with cause for excessive absenteeism, regardless of how well documented it is. Why can't I be more lenient on safety practices that limit your ability to do your job? Because government agencies require it. Even though they're never interested in investigating an actual accident when one occurs, and solely use it as a purpose to scan the facility for every minor infraction unrelated to the actual incident to generate revenue for their agency. Why are your health premiums going up and why is the company putting that price increase on the employees? Because health insurance expenses continue to rise every year, due to a myriad of reasons both political and otherwise, because Obamacare forces me to consider employees who are hurt outside of work "disabled" and I have to find light duty work for them to do, which is rarely if ever anything but make work and because our profit margins are already so thin, taking on any more expense would essentially eliminate any chance that your profit sharing check would ever come back. Why can't I walk out onto the shop floor and give everyone a $100 bill for a great week/month/whatever anymore like we used to do? Because the laws enacted by your representatives prevent me from giving any bonus of any monetary value without first giving you the option to have a 401k contribution deducted from the bonus, and the administrative costs of doing that mean that it's not even worth the effort to do, which is part of the reason we eliminated all of the various incentive bonus programs in favor of the single profit sharing program. Why does my flex savings account not roll over year to year? Because your representatives are assholes and have no concept of what dealing with rising healthcare costs is like for someone like you given that they have a Cadillac plan themselves and are exempt from Obamacare. Why are you giving me a written warning for this little mistake? Why is it such a big deal? Because the system that's been created over the years is so blatantly anti-employer that I need reams of documentation to justify any action I take to get rid of an employee and protect the company from retribution, civil or otherwise, that even though you're a pretty good employee and will likely never get into a position like I described, I can't afford to take the chance. Etc. Every piece of employer regulation put into place in an effort to "protect" employees also further limits my ability to treat you like an adult, reward you for going above and beyond, hinders our operations ability to be profitable, and requires increased man hours spent on assuring compliance rather than actually resolving problems. |
