I wonder how long they're going to protest before they decide to destroy it. If you can get to the top it wouldn't take much to drop explosives on ropes and at least badly damage it.

That's retarded. Protest armed, fine. Don't care. Putting your hand on your gun during an argument is stupid and only escalates things (to say nothing of putting yourself in danger). It's almost always better to just stand quietly and let the other guys make a fool of himself. That goes for both the protestors and the cops, btw. Kudos to them for not drawing on the guy.

I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to at least deface it by dropping hundreds of lbs of explosives down against it. You could do a lot of damage in a short time that way. You're dealing with people who think it's completely and totally wrong. They'll try to shame people into taking it down, and if that doesn't work they'll try the legal system, and then destroy it if they can't get their way. If they can deface it they can then make the argument that it's already badly damaged/unsafe so it should be completely removed. |
