questions with current culture? here's some homework; provide a deconstruction of the following film clip and associated soundtrack using the following as lenses for shaping reflective thoughts: what message is the music sending to the video participants? the viewer? what visual and auditory themes do you notice most, why do they stand out in particular to you? do they have any particular meaning to you? what particular emphasis or potential similarities in traits do you notice in terms of: socioeconomic standing, political messaging, racial stratification, gender polarization? you are not limited to these as a means to relate thoughts, you are encouraged to move safely into your own space of explanation or translation when forming your deconstruction. https://youtu.be/HMUDVMiITOU View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

This entire thread is so shit much FSA such vibrance of culture that I will not say what the two best have fun with a woman albums are. I will only say that Barry White (ironic, no?) is not one of them, as much as I like his songs. Tom Jones didn't make the list either, or Rod Stewart.

After spending 11 years working with black youth, i have concluded that rap is a form of nursery rhmyes that can have the same melodic and soothing effect on a black youth. I can tell you hiw many times I have observed blacks who mumble this repetitivly while in high stress times. The simplicity of some songs and the easiness of the lyric makes for a socially acceptable way to selfsooth. Most of these black youths come from fatherless homes and mothers who are overpowering which youths grow up without empathy as mothers find very little support. Another phenomina is the socially acceptable and common observance of thumb sucking in the teen years to self sooth.
