Bugs is just awesome.  HUGE Looney Tunes fan.

I go back and forth between my faves.  Between the hopelessly romantic Pepe Le Pew, the never successful Wile E. Coyote, and the cocky Bugs...it's hard to choose.  Honorable mention goes out to Marvin the Martian.

Still, though, I think Bugs has the kind of persona that just captures me and propels him to the leader of the pack.  So, Happy Birthday, BUGS!

What about the time Elmer Fudd blew Daffy Duck's bill off? He went and picked it up and stuck it back on.

He didn't take shit from anyone, I've made sure to mention this fact (minus the vulgarity) to my 4 year old daughter that I just introduced to him. Classic stuff.

Merrie Melodies/Looney Tunes was the greatest animated series ever, IMO.  I have a bunch of them at the house, and the kids absolutely love it.  I can't think of anything that has held up that well over 70+ years and still seems so current and relevant.  Three Stooges maybe, but even they are a distant second place.

If you are the politically incorrect type, google "merrie melodies censored eleven".

Never really liked Bugs.  Always kind of thought he was a prick, and his voice drove me insane even as a kid.

Not as bad as Woody Woodpecker, whose name is a string of euphemisms for penis.

I can still recite long passages of BB cartoons...best friend in school and I would recite on the bus ride in AM and PM every, single day!  Back in the mid 1970s...

What great memories.  Aaaaand I'm getting old.
