425 miles by road up to McKinney where my wife and I are from. We'd love to be back there (that's our goal) but, unfortunately, I would have to take a significant paycut due to my field. Looks like we are going to have to settle for the Houston area, but at least it's closer than where we are now.

About a thousand miles, but not far enough. It took a couple of years of work to eliminate my accent from the area. Jethro Bodine would sound like an intellectual when compared against the local accent.

5800 miles give or take a few.
Kiev Ukraine to Dallas Texas. V |

1708.7 miles
Sadly my parents are still trapped behind enemy lines in Rochester, NY. |

Currently 3,350 miles away by driving, but its not the farthest.
For 3 years, I was living in Brisbane, Australia so that was 8,900 miles away. |

Half the world away from all the places where I grew up! "Military Brat" here!

2 hours from where I was born, couple of hundred yards from where I lived from second grade until I moved out as an adult. I love it here, don't see ever moving of my own will.

Wife is ~930 miles from where she grew up. |

About 15 miles from where I grew up. My wife grew up across the pasture from our place, maybe 87 yards away...

a couple thousand miles from Texas.
my folks moved away from home after my brother and sister and I moved out. All but one of my friends moved away, and I was in the army. For a decade, I I felt like a Ronin. A wandering swordsman with no master or home. It was sort of depressing at first, but then became really freeing. |

69 miles haha. When my Daughter is done with school I'm moving back. I'll have the same employer but a little different job.

Without the use of the interwebz, Southern CA (Newport Beach) to Upstate SC and my guess is 2500 miles and some change. Entire familial Clan including chillrens in CA except one who is going to school in Taiwan (son). No Basements in CA, so fuck! I had to leave my den of Cheetos and Mountain dew fort at a early age. View Quote First time I came to LA I noticed no basements or attics. I asked my future wife, "But where do you put all your stuff?" She just said, "We don't have stuff". |

Wow. Ever drive to the old house at the end of the day out of habit? My mother lived in the same place since I was 16....about thirty years. She finally bought a house across the street from my high school, but whenever I go home to visit I instinctively start driving to her old apartment. |
|
Depending on the route I take, it can be exactly 500 miles from my driveway to my parents' driveway.

|
About 25 miles from where I grew up and went to school....the town I live in now is actually the town both my parents grew up in....
|
|
It's 596 miles on the dot from where I was born to where I sit now.
I grew up all over the place though. I've moved around a bit since first settling here but tallied up it's where I've been longest. |

About 6 blocks. In some ways I grew up right where I live now. Since I now live in my grandmother's house.

Right now about 270 miles. In the past, about 1,100.
I'm glad I'm closer right now, my mom is getting on in years and I go to Jax with regularity. Although I wouldn't be averse to moving elsewhere. |
|
Right now about 1270mi. Next Monday 0.0mi. Yes my wife, child and I are moving back into my folks house until we find a house after the move. It's gonna suck.
