BEIN Sports will have the Bundesliga starting with the 2016 season .  Along with Ligue Un, Serie A, and La Liga, that will give them rights to 4 of the 5 major European leagues.

...and yes, I know they're owned by Al Jazeera.

We need a Bundesliga thread to discuss a superior league.

Which is why I created the thread above your post.

If there was channel here covering it like NBCSN I'd be in

I stand corrected.

Back to BPL news, Brendan Rodgers' £16M deal for Mario Balotelli failed miserably.  It looks like they can loan him to Lazio but only if they pick up 70% of his paycheck.  Balotelli's latest "last chance"?

Make sure to pick a team and finalize it before Aug 8th.

If you're having trouble joining the league, shoot me an IM with an email address and I can send out email invites to the league as well.

Well, since you made it interesting my cheap ass decided to get it on the action.  I was able to put together a decent team that only included 2 players from teams that occupied the top 5 spots last year, so I won't have to root for the competition.  And those guys, Hazard and Silva, I like anyway because they are such fun players to watch.  So hopefully Hazard is the leading goal scorer and Chelsea is the last in the league by the year's end.

Two things I don't like about the fantasy teams: they give you too much money and it's stupid you can't pick more than three players from a team.  It would have been fun to be able to have to sort through players on bottom tier teams, but it was completely unnecessary given the budget.

Di Maria has officially gone to PSG.

As a Chelsea fan, I'm curious to see what ManU does with the money. Pedro, perhaps?

I love the transfer windows

Has to be Pedro. Unless they can somehow convince Real to get rid of Bale, which I don't see happening.

7 is more than I thought we would get, so it works.  I've changed the lineup about 17 times already.

Excited the season starts tomorrow, bummed I have to wait until Sunday to watch Liverpool.

Guess I'll go check in on the Bundesliga thread.  Go Mainz.

Do captain changes count or just transfers?

Because if you add the captain changes, it's probably closer to 30.  I'm a fiddler.  It's a problem.

I've been doing it for a couple years and I have no idea what I'm doing either.

Then I get bored halfway through the season and stop managing the team.  I'm hoping having some stuff on the line will keep me interested this year.

My favorite part of pro football is the promotion and relegation procedures.
It's taken Bournemouth a 125 years to make to the highest level for English Football.
The fans of the Cherries are about to go nuts for their first game.

Only six years ago it appears they were a goal away from dropping clear out of League Football all together.  After watching the United game earlier, the change in Stadium is shocking.  Like going from Cowboy's Stadium to a High School field.

They were playing Arnold Layne on the PA system while the teams were in the tunnels.  Distinct chorus for that song.

That's fine.  But understand that you're not disagreeing with me, you're disagreeing with the governing rules of the game.

The offences that warrant a red card are defined in FIFA’s Laws of the Game

Being guilty of ‘serious foul play’ (for instance, a very dangerous tackle).
Violence.
Spitting at an opponent or other person.
Denying the other side an opportunity to score by handling the ball.
Denying the other side an opportunity to score by fouling a player.
Offensive or abusive language or gestures.
