Yeah.. took the lift up to 11,500 with the wife today.  Between thunderstorms too, it was cool!

One of my wife's collages from facebook.  It was 100+ in the valley and 47f at the top of the lift.

Its neat since it is a volcano.

Here is the peak, 12,633, highest point in AZ.

Coming down the lift was neat as I usually utilize skis or a snowboard.  The wife on the other hand was a little freaked out LOL.. this was her first time on ski lift of any kind!

Thanks OP. I was just there and missed this.
Used Flagstaff as a jump off point to the Canyon. Made a huge big circle of 64 and 89.

HECK YEAH!!   We ALMOST jumped up to the Grand Canyon.  We got off the mountain at about 4, which is just enough time to drive to the Grand Canyon for dinner and sunset.

It was an awesome day.
I cant even begin to describe the Canyon. Defiantly humbled me as a person.

How far is the hike from the top of the ski lift to the peak?

What part of AZ you in? IM me if you want. I came in off 10. Then 17 up to the Canyon. Then left there for Mesa Verde.
Hit Ikea, Pima, and the airplane boneyard.
I stayed with my buddy in Mesa and tore shit up.

Well, I'm not sure because hiking from the top of the lift to the peak is not allowed - they don't want people crossing that land.
I've always started from the parking lot at the bottom of the lift and that is about a 4.8 mile one way hike to the peak.

I used the Lady's room in Schloss Heidelberg.  But the far greater thrill was peeing in the very same toilet Bo used at the Randall shop in Orlando.
