There are some authors here who I'd love to grab a beer with and shoot the shit:
Larry Correia Michael Z Williamson I'll bet there are some other guys from the Baen stable who are lurking here as well. And JL Bourne, just learned he was here. ETA - How could I forget Matthew Bracken? Man, I'd love to meet him. He has led an interesting life. |

Pretty cool. I'm surprised no one has made wooden grips for the modern paintball guns View Quote It's a matter of fitment. Most modern markers have the electronics in the grip vs older guns where it was mostly mechanical (although the .45 frame grips fit the Shocker and Angel nicely), so folks want some sort of thin rubbery material. You can probably find someone to make them custom, but the SP grips sell better NOW that they're hard to get than they ever did back when they were on every PB store shelf. |

I am pretty damn interesting in person. Boring as hell on here though.

I don't sit around pining to meet folks I haven't met, but I wouldn't mind putting a face to screen names from some of the folks with tank icons, some of the regulars in the Music subforum, and some of the post whores and mods whose names we all know. And I guess I wouldn't mind hitting a tattoo parlor to get matching tattoos with DK Prof.

I don't know man, knowing the truth kind of spoils the fun. I don't really want to meet anyone in particular.
I've met a few local Arfcommers through EE deals; they were all solid guys. a guy approached me at work ( I was wearing a boltface shirt ) and ID'ed himself as a member. |

Fat McNasty and Old_Painless
I could talk to those guys for hours |

I've met at least a hundred of you fuckers.
It's extremely rare that I meet somebody from the site that I don't find interesting on some level. It's also kind of a self-selecting filter: The assholes (almost) never show up at organized events. All you ever meet are the cool ones you want to hang out with anyway. I can't wait to meet even more of you. |

It'd be really fun if we could call out the very select minority of people we have met who were real turds in meatspace.
I have some stories. |
|
3 years ago , my first few months here, we had a HTF christmas dinner at a place in nyc. I'm the first there, about 30 minutes early. About 4pm. Have a drink or three at the bar, go outside for a smoke and on the way back in I see a group of 3-4 30ish yo guys in suits all shaking hands introducing each other. Of course, I stroll up and introduce myself as enlinghtenme556... From arfcom?... Ahh...yeah, you're not my new friends from the Internet.
