Fireworks are too loud. So are guns, but at least they're useful. Daughter is right. This holiday sucks, and so does New Years. You can't just say that and call youself an American. The context of the thread and her post is fireworks and their noise on those particular holidays, so.... Anyway, she's also a French citizen, but it's actually a noise thing for her. Loud music, parades, etc. affect her the same way and are overstimulating. I got her some nice electronic ear muffs for the range which she wears to bed when celebrations add to the ambient noise. Or we could just keep on assuming. |

She doesn't like chicken and dumplings either. Definitely defective. View Quote Ok, you win. Defective. On another note, my daughter hated fireworks when she was young. We made the mistake of having her with us celebrating the millennium and she was only about 2. There were so much going off I thought the world was ending. Apparently, so did she. For years after, she refused to be outside with fireworks so I stayed inside with her during those times. Now she is 18 and over it. |

OP needs to set up his daughter with some M80's. Tell her she is an infiltrator, and the cardboard boxes in the driveway are high value targets. She gets $5 for each "casualty" she creates.
Why do today's children have to be coaxed to like bombs?! |
