Quoted: Maybe, I dunno.. Although the officers appeared to react properly for this situation it is too bad some guy lost his life over some stolen beer from Walmart? Whoa that was frightening. Definitely that man left those cops no choice at all. That'll clear your sinuses. WTF was that guy thinking? Justified use of force.

yeah... grabbing that taser seems like a dumb idea (she may have already had it ready to go, I suppose.) Then again, fatass brodozing McMoron grabbing a (fake) gun was an even dumber idea. I'm betting he perpetuated his genes in the pool, unfortunately.

Am I being dumb here or did he not have the opportunity to get off some rounds as the gun sweapt the female officer when he was grabbed. I think she was very lucky.
Oh and good shoot. |

I cannot understand why more officers don't go to weak side carry/draw with the Taser.
I was cringing more about the male officer's positioning when they were walking out. In front of the guy, and not really watching him. |

Good thing her partner had some quick reaction time. Just curious, did the guy live? YouTube title: (Graphic) Bodycam Video Of Fatal Shooting, Palestine Texas |

Damn, he got uber-deaded. He looked drunk when he drew, he very easily could have shot her. View Quote Could have, but he likely wasn't trying to hurt her. The suspect knew he was only packing a pellet gun when he drew it, and then even at that he kept it pressed to his own body. Suicide by cops IMHO. |

Looks like a good shoot to me.
It was a fucking BB gun?!?! So the fucking guy pulled a BB gun....and now he's dead, and two officers have to live with killing that guy. Looks like a good shoot, but a totally unneeded one. Then again, the gene pool is now that tiny bit cleaner....... |

Quoted: Yeah, officer in front is lucky he didn't take one to the back of the head. That was crazy. What was the suspect thinking pulling out a snub-nose 5 shot on 2 cops? Wow. EDIT: says it was a pellet gun. I thought it looked like a snubby on 1st watching. View Quote |

Good move on the male cop's part, creating space and pushing the fatty away face first. Seconds count I know it was a bb gun, but that move coulda made the difference if it wasnt.

I feel for the officers.
Guy got deaded over Clark Griswold kind of shit. Good shoot. |

[#32]
My only problem with that is the female didn't start shooting UNTIL the guy was going down. It's a good shoot, but she needs more training and especially should recognize when the threat is down.

Also, good thinking moving the knife, but he should have tossed it to the ground.
My uncle, an NYPD officer, got his face cut by a guy in a restaurant who grabbed a steak knife off a table. |

Trigger happy cops kill a guy just for stealing beer!
Why didn't they wait to identify whether or not it was a real gun first? |

It was a good shoot but, due to the stupid actions of the deceased, it was, ultimately, an unneeded one. He should have just surrendered and gone to jail for the theft. Plain and simple. He would have a criminal record but at least he would still be alive. Stupid games, stupid prizes and all that jazz. |

I have a feeling she probably already had her hand on her taser as the walked out. She thought he was pulling away with his right hand, which was out of sight, and she intended to draw down with the taser and... surprise. The amount of time from her yelling "GUN" to drawing her Glock was only aboutn a second and a half but could have been fatal. View Quote I'm not LE but I'd agree, her draw was pretty fast and it looks like she didn't realize it until she saw the sights and figured they were wrong (IMO; look at the presentation, it was up and ready to go but not reacting like she was expecting) If I had to guess I would say she was expecting to have to taze his ass but it went even more sideways faster... Pretty good advertising for Streamlight's TLR-2 G too. Laser picks up well through the strobe Yes, need one Sure it wasn't a Viridian X5L Gen 2? It has more of a Diamond shape flood like in the 2nd video and strobe with green laser. |
