They aren't great but from what I read they are so lax on them that they don't even care

I remember that. I thought he said they had some sort of concealed  carry too...

In answer to the question at hand,  I honestly think I would stay here. .

It was Panama. If you have residency, which is about money and not time, then you can get a firearms license. There is no law regarding concealed or open carry. You have a legal firearm then you can do what you want. If you have an illegal firearm, then you are like everyone else.

Until the expat gringos fail to pay the bribe and you end up in a Cota Rican prison while the police jefe lives in your mountain house and your wife has a choice to stay with him, go to prison with you or go back to the states.

Always remember, the Jews who left Germany when Hitler took power but before things got too bad were the ones who survived. The ones who stayed went to the concentration camps and the gas chambers. I'm sure it was really tough for those who left early with little money, but I bet they were better off than most who stayed.

I don't think you can compare the Jewish issue with modern day America.  I really don't think a vast majority of the gun owning populace will board cattle cars to the gas chamber without a bit of a struggle.

It's not the USA of old. IT's turning into a socialist hell hole. I'm with FerFAL on this. Be prepared to move. America was an idea more than a place. The progressives killed that idea and are slowly skinning it as we speak. The Great Experiment has had it's life support system unplugged.

Yes, but not in the sense that I would move "to somewhere else", we'd buy a 42ft Sailboat and move enough cash in a offshore account to live on. Could sell business, buy an older boat, and be gone within 3 months.

I'd go over and hang out in the Pacific islands and not worry about much back here. If it is bad enough that the whole world has gone to shit in a hand basket, I'd probably find a nice quiet cove in New Caledonia and survive for as long as I could.

I've thought the same, but if its that bad here, it's gotta be much worse elsewhere. So.. I'd pick somewhere remote..Alaska sounds perfect to me.

Yeah, that state's not going to happen.  None of the nations that share its borders recognize it, which means one or the other will try to enforce their laws on any libertarians living there who think they're independent.

And by try, I mean will, because a "nation" that small isn't resisting anyone.  Lichtenstein could conquer Liber-topia...

Certain parts of London are actually quite a good place to live if you shoot. Some of the clubs around Greater London have excellent range facilities. I lived only a few miles outside the centre and shot two or three times a week.

Doesn't surprise me.

There are loads of ranges around the UK.  I have at least 8 off the top of my head within a 20 miles radius of where I am, and a load more clay pigeon clubs.

I'd go with this.

For what it's worth, if you are getting posed off with how things are going you can be sure you are not the only one.  The issue with the left is that they are like alcoholics when it comes to socialism.  They never know when enough is enough......they fail to set limits on themselves.

Result, eventually they piss more people off than support them and they are voted out.

Patience is your friend.  Never interrupt your enemy while they are in the process of making a mistake.

I voted yes, but realistically, I'd just go off the grid in the Appalachians first and wait for the commie shit to blow over. True communism never lasts long before collapsing under it's own weight and the free market reforms kick in.

I wouldn't mind living a simple life in somewhere like Costa Rica and have a nice house along the beach somewhere. Income taxes are extremely low and property taxes are only .25%.

This huge mountain home is only $360k
http://www.propertiesincostarica.com/properties/Images/breathtaking_panoramic_views_of_the_pacific_coast/opt/close-up-y-cochera.jpg

This one is $600k with its own private beach

I would consider leaving if the pendulum doesn't end up swinging back. If you would leave, where would you consider?
