This is my face when I see a picture of an AR laying on the ground with the magazine inserted, selector on fire.

Please follow the basic firearms safety rules. The selector should be on safe.

And don't give me thisismysafety.jpg, you're ARFCOM, your weapon should be on safe.

Lots of people have the mag empty. Can't put it on safe if the gun hasn't had its charging handle pulled.

It's nothing to really get upset about.

That just tells me that they haven't cleared their weapon. Safety violation.

You should visually and physically inspect the chamber to ensure the weapon is not loaded.

You don't need to drop the hammer.

That's not how springs work. Read a science book.

Your weapon should be on safe, unless you intend to fire. Do you intend to fire your weapon in your safe? I didn't think so. Put the selector on safe.

You're welcome.

You are seriously lecturing about how a person stores a firearm IN THEIR SAFE?

Seriously.  Give it a rest.

If a person stores an unloaded firearm with the hammer dropped and on fire, it is NOT A BIT less safe than an unloaded firearm stored with the hammer cocked and the safety on.  And you damned well know that.

If there is a magazine inserted, it should be on safe.

You better be careful, a weapon with the magazine inserted may have a round in the chamber. You'd better remove that mag, clear the chamber, and put it on safe.
