I'm trying to do the BoS line, but all I'm getting is the quartermastery and cleansing the commonwealth quests. Do I need to keep doing these and something eventually pops up? Every time I try to talk to Danse, I get generic talk from him.

the most important part is the pick up. you will notice dogmeat will stop and slightly lift his head and then lower to pick up the book about 75% of the time. Thats when you can do it. If he runs up or anything else its impossible to time. Its best to send him about 20 feet in game away, and you move just slightly where it changes from "tell dogmeat to pick up" to "pick-up" for yourself. Hold the X, or whatever you use to pick up on yours, and as soon as he's dropping his head, release, and you should hear the noise like you picked it up, and then he'll create one from thin air to drop at your feet. Holding the x just makes you a little faster on the draw so all you do is let off when he starts. I got it the very first time, and then about 50 times later. After that I could time it just about every time. See my quoted post above. The "You're SPECIAL" duplicate exploit has possibly been patched. Not for filthy console peasants. Hmm... Like I had mentioned, I've got my Xbox set to standby power off (which installs updates automatically when in standby) so I hadn't seen any patches needing installed but was unable to get Dogmeat to fetch the book on multiple tries earlier this week. Maybe it was just a Bethesda game being a Bethesda game. I'll have to give it another try again next time I get on. Yeah I saw that after I posted, so I went and turned my Xbox on. Still had all my power cells and SPECIAL points. My Xboner is set to auto update as well. I dont think the patch has released for consoles yet. Im wondering if you game reverted to an old save somehow? |

All the factions are now interconnected in the main quest line. |

I am confused by which group to join. I joined the Railroad just to get a check mark on that mission, but I really don't like those leftwing revolutionaries lol. I joined the BoS the same day. Is this a conflict? I am working on building my teleporter. I should have just refused to join anyone for the time being.

Took dogmeat for a run last night on a Vietcong ear collection mission with pickmans blade. I think my ammo worries are over for a while. I think I ended with enough ammo to last me a while.
And ended up with 4 full sets of power armor. While raider II isn't the best armor I like the looks of it the best. I'm being a lazy ass and just parking them all in the street at sanctuary without cores of course. |

There's also .45 Auto Rim, which IIRC is basically a .45ACP with just enough of a rim on it to let the ejector knock the empties out of the cylinder. |
