Hmm odd, people keep talking about flooding by everything is fine here in Las Colinas...

I tallied the month's rainfall earlier this morning - 16.5" according to Wunderground. I think that's about half the annual average... in 4 weeks.

Looks like a pricy neighborhood. Houses are crazy close together. Friendly with the neighbors?

It looks like if the water was at your feet in that pic, you could wade to the middle. its shallow near the edges, gets deeper in the middle. not very deep though. usually 10- 20 ft deep. although it does get 40-60 ft deep over by the dam. |

Is the fence just for the tennis court or all along the shore line?

just went by there again, its up more than a foot from when I took these pics. I forgot my phone. I will post more pics when I get off work. Maybe I did jinx myself when I said I wasn't worried earlier.

I'm guessing they'll be opening the spillway in a day or two, the rate it is rising isn't just going to drop to zero suddenly.

I see broken image links.
--ETA: Odd, copy/pasting link works to show image. On the left side, where the concrete wall slopes up, in the picture from a few hours ago, it was right at the tree in the corner covered, now in the image above, I don't see it at all by the tree, how much more has the water risen? I can't paste the same image, must be set to non-embed.... I speak of This one I don't see the concrete ramp, do you have a wider angle shot, or a shot from the stairs where you took the earlier pics so they can be compared? |

Update OP? View Quote I dont know about his house, but last night at 1900 it had come up another foot or so. A foot deeper water. That's a lot of water. all access to the lake is under water. Police were removing people whowere playing in it (no swimming in the lake, yeah, it's stupid, but has a reason) Lots of idiots playing in the parking lots that are now underater. Lots of fishing too. |

OP's lake:
6 months ago, water elevation was 539.56 ft, -10.44 ft below full stage, 53.7% Full 1 week ago, water elevation was 551.01, 1.01 ft above full stage, 100% Full 2 days ago, 10 hrs before earlier pics were taken, water elevation was 551.75, 1.75ft above full, >100% Full Yesterday, when later pictures were taken, water elevation was 556.28, 6.28 ft above full stage, >100% Full Today, water elevation is 557.03ft above MSL, 7.03ft over full, >100% Full So I'm guessing water has gone up 6 feet from the pictures in the OP, and 1 foot over what the pictures on page 2 show. |
