I like sticky fingers carolina style. You'll get stabbed in the eye with a fork over that one.

I normally like Cattleman's Gold or whatever they've got at Sam's Club.
Bullseye I don't like. Kraft is what my wife (no pics) picks up and I don't like it. Stubbs is good Secret Six is pretty good. I don't like Maurice's. Sweet Baby Ray's is ok but I don't think it's all that. |
|
Tag! I've been sampling several brands lately but keep going back to SBR. Looking high and low for Head Country locally but so far no luck.

Some interesting choices. Going to have to go try some new BBQ.

I picked up a bottle of "The Shed", was really pretty good and real ingredients, not a bunch of preservatives. |

Depends on the meat.

Sweet Baby Ray's for pork. For brisket, this is a new favorite: Lillie Q's Ivory sauce. Sounds weird, tastes amazing. A very mild flavor so you can actually still taste the brisket. http://trndmonitor.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/ivory.jpg For the OP, sounds like you're in my neck of the woods. If you ever get the chance try Dale's BBQ in Ft. Pierce. They do a vinegar based sauce that kicks ass. View Quote I'm up in Jax, but I'll def stop by Dales next time Im down that way. |

I'm not really happy with any of them.
Maybe it's because most people drown the meat in that shit, where you're tasting nothing but sauce. Me personally though, I haven't found a store bought sauce I really like, and I haven't concocted anything myself that I'm really happy with. |

I was extremely dissappointed when Kraft discontinued their Sweet and Spicy Chipotle. Not as fancy as the stuff most of you are posting but it was so good and smooth I ate it on everything. Barbecue and bleu salad was one of my favorites.

For the most part, none. I haven't found that it generally improves good bbq. If you find yourself looking for better sauce, I would suggest looking for better bbq... Much of the BBQ served in NC is not served with sauce on it. Thats because yall have that aweful vinegar shit you call "sauce" up there. I will eat mustard based or tomato based, but I cant do NC "BBQ SAUCE" |

Thanks to this thread I just ordered a case of real sauce from Luling TX.

It depends.
Sometimes I want mustard (Foy's) Sometimes I want vinegar (make my own) Sometimes I want sweet and tangy (make my own) Sometimes I want tomato based (SBR) Sometimes I want none. |

My slow smoked BBQ does not need any sauce, all the great flavor comes from the dry rub and smoke, sauce would only cover the great taste already there. |
