Hmmm. Don't think they have that around here. I'm with you, OP. Home made is best. I make a whiskey BBQ sauce that is kick ass.
When we buy, we get Sweet Baby Ray's sauce. Good stuff. Also, in before "that's ketchup, not bbq sauce" detractors. |

Sweet Baby rays for sweet and Bull's-eye for a tarter tangier flavor. I make my own east Carolina vinegar sauce. No store bought I have ever tried stands up to it.

I also normally make my own.
But if I have to get store bought it's Sweet Baby Ray's Hickory and Brown Sugar. My homemade is pretty much a clone of Sweet Baby Ray's Hickory and Brown Sugar but without the shit ingredients. |

1) Hell no. 2) Could you find a bigger image? I'm not sure if that one is easy enough to read or if it burns enough bandwidth. |

Never made my own from scratch! Kinda want to now!
I love the Sweet Baby Ray's, I usually put in some cider vinegar and mix it up for some tang. |

I generally make my own. Having said that, we have so many locally made sauces, it's hard to recommend just one.
Bone Sucking Sauce is pretty good stuff though. |

For the most part, none. I haven't found that it generally improves good bbq. If you find yourself looking for better sauce, I would suggest looking for better bbq...

Probably not available outside of MO, but this is my favorite for Ribs. http://i354.photobucket.com/albums/r414/showmeballer/285-e1316708955351_zpsarlau19i.jpg View Quote Those guys make some bitchin' sauce. I've bought their standard stuff by the gallon in the past. I currently have a quart and a half of their habanero sauce and a pint of their mustard sauce on hand. |

Yep ETA: For the guys that are saying they make their own, can you post the recipes? I'd like to try to make some. Sure. My sauce is stolen and tweaked from the Pineapple Willy's recipe. It's damn good as is. Even better if you add more whiskey and Tabasco sauce. http://www.food.com/recipe/pineapple-willys-jack-daniels-barbecue-sauce-247104 |

View Quote There are two sides to that coin. Sometimes, the sauce is the rug that's hiding the dirty secrets, and sometimes, the sauce is the rug that ties the Dude's room together. Also, there's no rule that says you can only use BBQ sauce on BBQ stuff, and I sure as hell don't. I put it on all kinds of stuff from burgers and sandwiches to fries. |
