Ain't nobody got time for that! I haven't hand washed my own vehicle in years! Car wash, maybe once a month, sometimes more frequently, sometimes less. We average 12" of rain per year. I have an 11 month old child, I don't have time to do it.

Almost never....I wash enough cars at the damn shop. Fuck all that.

I've cut back to once a month. I used to wash my truck every week but that truck started rusting quicker than any of the others so I attribute it to the fact that all the nooks and crannies never had a chance to dry out. In the winter I might wash more if the vehicle gets a bunch of salt on it. My truck only gets drove on weekends so a lot of times if I get a light coating of dust on it I'll just use some detailer spray and a microfiber towel and clean it off, then I can stretch the true washings out to two months.
Under side of the vehicles only get washed a couple of times a year. I keep the undersides coated with Fluid Film to keep the rust at bay and it only needs to be washed off when reapplying. Now my semi is a different story. It's my office and I like to keep it clean so I wash it as soon as it gets dirty and polish the wheels/tanks when they start getting dull. Some weeks I end up washing every day and polishing at least once. |

Couple of times a week?
Car was down the street offers a $20 per month unlimited washes, and my truck is black; it's dirty about an hour after it's been washed. |
Every couple weeks.
Two bucket method, dried and then spray Chemical guys V7 spray sealant on it. Blackfire sealant once a season. Dirty sometimes, protected all the time. Always get Great resale or trade in value. |

lol they wash the outside of mine when i take it for an oil change free oil changes from the dealership also it is usually cheaper to get a place to do the oil change and i don't have to deal with a gallon of nasty oil You don't have a fence? are you implying that i should chuck used motor oil over the fence? I have just chucked the old milk jug full in the trash before but that's probably not the responsible thing to do. again it tends to be cheaper to just get it done anyway |

Once a week. Older stuff, never. Usually spray the undercarriage every spring.
Once a month in warmer weather. Twice a month in snow and salt weather. Also when needed (i.e. bird poop)
My Mustang gets washed as often as I can or the weather allows.
My Jeep is almost 3 years old and has been washed 3 times. My Co. Truck, I never wash, but the rain seems to keep it fairly clean. |
As long as you have sealant or wax, washing it more often isn't necessarily a good thing. Most imperfections in the paint (I.e. Swirls) are done during the washing and drying process.

I wash my car every few weeks.
My company car gets washed just about every work day. |
I've got a 2012 Nissan Frontier. Washed it once.
The missus' '02 Pathfinder I don't think she's ever washed (bought in '09.) Her play car (AKA the spare car,) a '96 BMW 328i convertible, gets washed about every two months. ETA: Forgot the year on the BMW. |
Try for once a week w my black truck. It goes once a month for a full clean/wax.
Wifes durango, dont care its a lease. |
There was a thread recently about this, and I realized I hadn't washed my car in over eight years.
Just bought a brand new car a month ago, and it's black. I have no particular intention of ever washing it. |
I drive my Lamborghini more than the Ferrari so I have a mobile detailer swing by every other week for it. The Ferrari gets a bath every other time. I bathe the Shelby myself. |

2 miles from my place to the nearest pavement
Not washing my car with me driving 5 miles of muddy roads a day |
Yeah, I used to be a bit obsessive about it. But really, who the fuck cares? I wash it if it gets dirty enough that it bothers me, but some dust, a splash of mud? Hell no. It'll rain sooner or later. |
When I had a sports car it could be a couple of times a week. My beater? When it rains. Or if pollen is falling.
2-3 times a week. Almost daily in the winter to keep the salt and shit off. I paid $200 for a year's worth of unlimited car washes at the place in front of my neighborhood.
If there is no rain in the foreseeable forecast and I am in town. If it rains and I go anywhere I have 3 miles of caliche to get to blacktop and it doesn't dry up for a few days.
2-3 times a week A clean vehicle is a reflection of the person who drives it |
Wifes car all the time its spotless. My truck whenever I get around to it.
I try to wash it once a week and wax every 6 months. My resale value is important.

My bro dozed gets washed before a truck show or dyno day. Wife's car, every other month. It is so dusty out here, you have to wash it 10 min before you go somewhere if you want it clean.
About once a week in winter to keep salt off it. Rest of the year, when it gets too dirty or buggy. Keep the interior fairly tidy all the time.
outside gets washed when it rains and once a year with soap, inside is once a year
I live on a dirt road that turns into a mud bog when it rains. Impossible to keep vehicles clean.
I do pressure wash the caked on mud off the wheels when it starts to shimmy at highway speeds. |
About twice a year, generally. Otherwise, just Squeegee the windows occasionally while stopped to buy gas.

Once per year whether it needs it or not. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile Hey I thought cars dont get dirty in the concrete jungle? They generally don't rust here because there's never salt on the roads, but there's plenty of dirt, fire ash, diesel soot, cat dander, etc. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

I live out in the country down a muddy rutted gravel road, so just a couple times a year. If I lived in town my truck would be spotless, but I can shoot in my backyard so I'll take the trade off.
