Koegels is the correct answer.  Serve the curve.

Since Koegels are not sold in stores outside of MI most here have no idea what they are missing. I like those little bastards so much that I mail order a case at a time so that I always have some on hand.

Hebrew National, but they require some expertise to cook properly.

I wondered how long it would take to come to this.

Grill.  Medium high or even high heat. Direct. Turn/roll constantly every minute or two to get good color and browning.

They're done when you get the color you want and skins are sizzling and fat cooking the outside.

Anytime I grill some Nathan's are going to get cooked. That means you can always find grilled hot dogs in my fridge no matter what day it is. Makes a nice snack or breakfast.

Costco Nathan's hot dogs. Cheap. Always have at least 4 packs on hand.

Boar's Head beef frankfurters rock.

I wish I could find frankfurters like the ones my dad would bring home from the butcher's counter at the grocery when I was a kid.  They were short, fat, natural casings and strung together, just like in old cartoons.  Grilled until they were about to pop, yum.  The way they'd crack when you bit into them!  Those were the best.

I'm a hot dog snob. The all beef ball parks are pretty good if cooked properly like any dog

But has to be all beef dog.

Hebrew National > Nathans > all other brands.

FWIW Ballpark makes a good hotdog (if you get the right one), but not in the same league (pun) as Hebrew National or Nathans.

Wife and I run a hotdog cart.  We serve Nathans 1/4 pd all beef.  We have sold 240 dogs in less than 3 hrs. I'd say that they are pretty good!
