I wonder what he uses that Hi Lift for then?
I want some " Mall Rated" badges for mine. |

''It's a Jeep thing and no one else gives a damn about them''
Couple guys at work must have 60K sunk into their Jeeps, I'd lay good money they've never even seen a mud puddle, much less actually used off road. What I don't understand is that they have to drive like dog shit on the road, maintenance is greatly increased due to drive line angles, and if all they do is stay on the road, why not buy something that is actually fun to sling around on asphalt? |

While we're on the subject on page one, I wonder if any of you 4-door Wrangler folks would give your opinion of it.
Right now we have a 2006 Commander, but it's getting a little wore out as a commuter. Looking to replace it after wife retires this year, but we still need to have pretty good winter weather capability. And also, how are they on a road trip? Noisy or uncomfortable? |

View Quote Great question! had a 99 wrangler 4.0 for a while, it was like driving a noisy brick. You could watch the gas gauge go down! I bet the newer ones are much quieter, better ride, and most of all, better mileage! Hopefully someone will chime in. |

LOL! I need something like that to tick off my shooting buddy. He loves loves loves his Rubi.

View Quote I have a 2014 2 door with a premium soft top. Took it on an 8 hour one way road trip last month, was just fine. Used the Bluetooth mic and made phone calls at 80 mph. A 4 door rides even better, and I'm sure a hard top would be even quieter. |

I have had my YJ for 20 years...I stopped counting at 40k...I probably couldn't get 3k for it. It is abused and used hard. 175k on the odometer and on it's second engine rebuild. It was a year old when I bought it. Two weeks later I was out in the woods breaking shit. I new when I bought it what I planned to do with it.

View Quote I have a 2014 JK (4dr.) Compared to my previous XJ, or my wife's Liberty, it is worlds quieter than either of those vehicles. In fact, it may very well be the quietest vehicle I have ever owned. And the thing gets AMAZING gas mileage (for a Jeep). My recent trip of about 200 miles on national highways through the mountains averaged 23.8mpg at 65-70mph. I was not expecting this Jeep to be SO much better than either of the other two I mention above. |

Been there, done that. I like comfort. My 4x4 sits at home until it is needed. |

Hi-lift on the hood is sure sign of a poser.
The JK's are the quietest and smoothest solid axle jeep I've ridden in yet. I'll be moving to TJ though when the cherokee is put out to pasture, as the JK's are kinda wide. |

Friend just bought a 4 door. She likes it better than the Tundra it replaced. Because it is orange. Works for her, and she is happy.
The interior reminded me of a mid-80's Toyota, except that the radio is current, feature-wise. It is many times better than a TJ, for boulevarding at least. Check out the many Jeep forums for far more information than you will be able to absorb. |

He drives his wife's rubicon because his seems to blow the fuck up as soon as it gets out of the drive way. First the locker shelled out. Rebuilt the front end and the rearend grenaded. It's a damn hobby keeping it rolling. |

Why do jeep drivers insist on waving to one another on the road? There's no right of passage, and hollering at each other at traffic lights to congratulate the random other driver is fucking weird.

A little loud but not bad. But she hasn't had the bigger tires put on yet. And wants a 2" lift so we will see after that. The gas mileage is good. And don't forget the jeep wave....
