I don't own a Glock gun, but out of curiosity, if they are "perfection" why are there 4 generations?
For that matter why are there even upgrades at all, wouldn't any alteration be downgrades because "perfection".
Because it is a fucking marketing slogan. They typically mean nothing and serve only to help sales/brand recognition.
The basic operation of the handgun hasn't changed from Gen1 to Gen4. They've made slight changes like how many pins are in the frame, the recoil spring, and the texture of the grip frame (also adding finger swells, etc) and Gen4 added the interchangeable backstraps to the larger models.
So, yes, while "perfection" seems silly, one could posit that they're "improving on the original perfection".
If the Gen4 had a non-rail frame version, I wouldn't buy any other handguns (although I'd have to get the finger bumps milled off). I like the new recoil spring, the larger mag release, and the backstraps.
