Watched since 1972, we were friends with SuperTex back in the mid 1970s, as we had the same horse trainer. Hit Jr. Foyt with a horse apple....once.

Quite a spectacle View Quote I'm sure that you know this, but in the US, Memorial Day serves the function that Armistice Day does in the common wealth. It was originally a spring Sunday to clean and decorate the graves of the dead from the American Civil War. Called Decoration Day. With the advent of Armistice Day in 1919, the to days did similar things. So Armistice Day became "Veteran's Day", to honor those who served, and Decoration Day became "Memorial Day" to honor those "who gave the last full measure of devotion." |

I have watched this race since I was little and I truly think that even if you aren't a fan it is one race that everyone always watches. Its American history broadcasted worldwide View Quote Yes, I've been watching since I was young. Salt Walther/Swede Savage 1973 was the first one I watched. |

Meh. Why do people have to 'fix' it? Just sing it the way it was written, the way it was supposed to be performed. And wearing jeans? Really? for the National Anthem? Really? On Memorial Day? Really? Jeans? Really? WTF? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

These pop stars don't have the vocal range do do it, so they have to change it |

I have to say these cars look like crap. Some parody of a Hot Wheels car. New bodies that happen to create lift if they get turned around. Four cars flipped during practice crashes when getting around backwards. I saw something about that. Only saw one of the crashes. |

It would appear that more people fill the stands for Indycar than NASCAR these days.

That was dumb.
They haven't had a good tight grid for the start in years at this point |

So, now Sato has lost the 500 by crashing in the last corner of the last lap, and now has lost by crashing in the third corner of the first lap.!

I don't normally watch IndyCar but do they always start with that huge spacing between groups? There were like 5 car lengths between each line of 3 cars.
Also, did that yellow car have a spotter to tell him someone was outside??? |

Sato had no business attempting that. That kid Karam deserved better than that. Karam should pull a AJ Foyt and go kick Satos ass. -p. |
