Meh. It can never be as good as the first. Especially because of McConaughay character, and too many britlanders in that trailer
Fucking loved the first season.
Pretty sure season two will be a disappointment. |
For this season they have cast porn stars for a "colossal orgy sequence."
Can they find a way to get Alexandra Daddario in this season, too?
I just finished last night. I'm struggling to see how season 2 will go.
Is it going to focus on a case with emphasis on the detectives, or is the focus going to be occult type crimes? |
With Taylor Kitsch in the cast, I cannot see how it won't be terrible.

View Quote Looks like season 2 is going to be a completely different storyline in L.A. I don't think it's going to have anything to do with the first season other than the name of the show. That doesn't mean it's gonna be bad, but I'm afraid it will end up teh sux. |

I don't know if anything can ever top season one, but I will check it out.

Tag for the official thread.
I hope they will have the season pass on iTunes. |

I'll go ahead and get in on one. I know this won't compete with season 1, but I'm still optimistic that it can be awesome.

I was reading on wiki that the writer originally had the idea as a novel, but felt it would work better as a screenplay for TV.
Makes me even more curious how it's going to work without the occult angle. |

Season 1 could have been the most interesting series I've ever seen on any channel....ever.
Very tough act to follow, but I'll be watching for sure. |

Fucking loved the first season. Pretty sure season two will be a disappointment. First and second post nailed it. That they gave the Emmy to Breaking Bad instead of True Detective was a fucking Crime! It might be good, but it'll never be as good as season 1. It was easily the best TV series of all time IMO. |
Season 1 was probably the best acting Harrelson and McConaughey have done to date, though McConaughey does nknow how to act, his serious stuff is best.
The housing scene they did was probably one of the best, non-stop scenes I have ever witnessed, if the stories I read are true on it not being sliced. |
The old lady and I are watching the last episode of season one in about five minutes. I've seen it before and I'm pretty jealous she gets to see it for the first time.
I'm optimistic. Should be good.
Long format TV is the new Movie. |

Definitely! Don't think I've ever been addicted to a TV show like I was with season one. I like the cast for season 2 so if the story is good I'll be happy. |

In. Hoping the show doesn't miss Cary Fukunaga's direction too much.

Loved the first series (because I see it more like how UK shows often do separate series in the same fashion, rather than a US one with seasons since the cast and setting are completely different) and am hoping this one is even half as good as the first. Because if it's even half as good it would still make it one of the best shows on TV.

I've read that there will be multiple directors throughout this season. I hope their styles aren't too far apart to make it feel weird episode to episode.
