Attack jet.
And if people think owning a boat is expensive...... |

Wonder where we would be if we spent $60,000,000,000 on a Harrier III instead of a Lightening II turd?

If I remember correctly, he also has a GR3 version tucked away somewhere.

I can't even imagine what an undertaking like that would cost.

He better call Kenny Loggins, because he's on a highway to a zone of danger.

kind of off topic, but didn't USMC Harriers have some sort of glass optic on the tip of the nose cone? Looking at recent pictures, they don't seem to have that anymore.

I bet he loves to buzz the tower Must be nice to have deep pockets.

A guy I flew with years ago owns & flies a Polish fighter jet.
Uses it in air shows. |

There was a guy who bought an SU-27 a few years ago for $6 million. Supposedly only 2 in the US.

I know they glossed over it in the video, but how did he get the jet across the Atlantic?

Theres a guy here in town that owns and trains people on a Mig 15. He also has a L29, a L39, t-33, and another funky little trainer.
I see the L39 flying around all the time, the t33 once in a while and the mig 15 at the air show. The others I don't see too often. I realize none are as cool as a harrier but, still pretty cool. |

Wow I remember those Pepsi points, didn't someone sue Pepsi because they did get 7 million points? I believe if you look at those promotions the points actually have a values of tenths of a cent. Pepsi advertised you could get a Harrier for 7 million points. He bought the points and demanded his plane. Whatever he paid would have been an extremely good deal on a Harrier but of course they couldn't really sell him one. I think they settled and he actually got a decent amount of money. |

I believe that the former Chrysler boss, Bob Lutz, has a fighter or trainer of some kind.

I liked the line about his wifes support. Sure she supports you, but she made damn sure your life insurance is up to date

That would be cool!
But I'd rather have a Mh-6, Uh-1D or H Iroquois and a Boeing MH-47D... And a Stuka! Off to go buy some lotto tickets! |

Being just over 500 miles from Quincy, Ill. I have seen both of their MiG-29s with in the last month stopping in at our local airport for I assume re-fuel for the pilot and jet. One is all gray with red stars and the other is camo having light blue with red stars.
They are impressive pieces of machinery. I'd love to take a closer look at them. |

I was going to say no big deal since we have quite a few rich people around these parts with surplus jets. But, darn, a Harrier? That's a new one. Usually, it's an old MIG.
