I was gonna do some dry fire practice for the FAST but I can't rack the slide with my left hand or grab a mag with it.

My classifiers follow this pattern: 15%, 75%, 24%, 80%, etc. I've only been doing it for about 8 months. School takes up most of my time and money right now. |

naw man, i'm way way out of practice. so i watched your video and for whatever reason i felt like it was much slower time than mine. when you watch them separately it sure does look that way, or maybe its just me. anyhow, so i made a split video and it really puts things into perspective. you were done with your 4 to the body while i was still on #2... i was looking hard for that front sight : ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FVQgSpGLpI View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

If I had the draw and reload of Pointman I'd be at 3.93 seconds It's little details that knocks of the 10th of seconds. Just realized too that your 1st video and the one you did the split on you were not from concealment. Adds a whole new level to it doesn't it None the less awesome shooting and thanks for participating! I want to keep this thing in good fun and encourage people to get out and shoot and have some fun. Just the fact that these will all have you working on something to improve you abilities is my subversive plan anyway (same reason I started the 1 MOA All Day Challenge) |

Thanks For the CSAT drills, what is the target size? Can I use a 2/3 IDPA steel silhouette, or does it have to be paper? It looks like he is using a full size silhouette. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

And Pointman12 takes the F. A. S. T. Drill. Good shooting Thanks For the CSAT drills, what is the target size? Can I use a 2/3 IDPA steel silhouette, or does it have to be paper? It looks like he is using a full size silhouette. Only the "A" zone counts for body and the "A" and "B" count for head. Anything out side that is a miss. If your steel matches those dimensions then yeah. Use an IPSC target as reference. |

You must also either show the timer for each iteration or read the time off loud enough to hear along with the hit being a pass or a fail. Total time and hit/misses will be tallied for score. For the purposes of this challenge ALL misses will add 2 seconds to the over all time. Also, understand this is only 25 rounds and NO extra shots can be taken during an iteration. You CAN NOT make up your misses by firing extra shots, this is not an IDPDA/USPSA match. As LAV says, "Fast is fine, Accuracy is final" I would suggest you shoot it until you get a full on CLEAN run for score, even if it's not as fast as you may like. You will need your rifle, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SHOOT IT. It is a dry fire to simulate a downed rifle for a transition. Are we supposed to tally up our time for each part, then our score plus penalties is our score? Or are we supposed to use those par times? Tally total time plus penalties for score. The bolded times are the actual time requirements for passing the actual test through CSAT. I have them up their so you can see what the passing times are to CSAT Pistol certified. To give an idea of a baseline standard to strive for. But again, for the purpose of this 'Challenge' we will simply tally the total time after all 10 iterations and for each 'miss' a 2 second penalty will be added to the total time. Ideally the goal is to shoot each iteration under the prescribed par time and do so clean. ETA: I made the time penalties steep to push the need for accuracy. Basically to reduce the ability for someone to burn through it supper fast but drop a few shots. The guy the focuses more on accuracy will win. The time constraints that we are shooting for are so limited that if we are all close to it a miss will be devastating. We are all fighting for 10th of a second with these time standards that a miss takes you out of the running pretty quick. Plus the 25 rounds count may lead for less runs through it. Pushes dry fire practice |

There is a new indoor range, never been though. The next closest range is in the next town. This isn't a public range either. It's private and there used to be no RSOs, but we have been having problems with idiots and their answer was "full retard". Guys were throwing cans in the air and trying to shoot them with pistols. I-20 is within falling range. Early in the AM, there is usually no one there. I should be ok. |

What's the best way to post a vid from my iPhone? Upload to my macbook?
Here's the stats for today's cold run. I may do it again later this week because I know I can do better. 1. 1 Shot 1 Target 1A .92 2. Draw from concealment 1 shot 1 target 1A 2.13 (fail-time) 3. 2 shots 1 target 2A 1.24 4. 5 body 1 head 6A 2.6 5. 4 shots 2 per target 3A one miss 2.12 (fail-miss) 6. 2 weak 2 strong 2A 2B 4.84 (Fail-miss) 7. 1 shot malfuntion 1A 2.3 8. 2 shots reload from concealment 2 shots 4A 5.57 (fail-Time) 9. dry fire rifle-transition/draw from concealment-one shot 1A 3.04 10. Draw from concealment 1 shot kneeling @25yds 1B 3.55 (fail-time and miss) Passing the standards from concealment is difficult but not impossible. I haven't done it yet, though. The 25 yarder is supposed to be the easy one, but my heart wasn't in it today. ETA - just realized that 3.04 on #9 is a passing time.
