I'll try it this weekend if I have time, maybe compare my competition rig vs. carry gun on the shot timer. |

You can add a shot timer clock with Max Michel's Shot Coach app.
Here is a thread on it: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=211439 Although, it is probably way easier to get a shot timer app for your smart phone. |

If it's kosher I'm going to add a third target. It'll be for the Mozambique headshot, offset down and left on the same target stand as T2 to simulate a falling subject.

5/16/2015 Those cardboard bastards stole my range bag! Gear used in the recovery of said range bag from cardboard scum:
Times according to my CED 7000: 1.09, .20, .51, .16, .20 = 2.16 total All A-zone hits except for the headshot on T2, which was a B, but since IDPA targets are also approved I assume we're treating the whole head as an A-zone. |

ran this drill a few time at my back yard range. Rig was my CZ P-07 with CT 205 combo in a kydex IWB that i made. Most will think im full of it but my best time was my very first run in 2.11 secs with all A hits. this was before i decided to set up the video but i did take this pic: http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b28/evnash/Guns/99215675-6CF2-4199-85BE-65880A248837.jpg I ran it a few more times and would average around 2.30 secs. noticed my shots started drifting left on the retention shots. will have to work on that. http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b28/evnash/Guns/E3705914-A37C-4CAB-9D17-116EC14BC041.jpg Rig: http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b28/evnash/Guns/579054BB-B4D0-42C7-AB8B-5748F13205DB.jpg http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b28/evnash/Guns/34ADCD4D-2C29-4E18-9BA0-E98F11B43C58.jpg Some video of my fat ass seating like a slave in the Alabama heat with a jacket on. https://youtu.be/7L_K8LhPT14 POV video https://youtu.be/cacQ0wa0Egg View Quote Sweet! |

I'm a bit late to the party on the first week drill, but finally had time yesterday to hit the range.
Tried it with my carry rig, a Sig SP2022 in a hybrid IWB, and then again with my competition rig, S&W M&P9 Pro 5" in a OWB kydex holster. My fishing vest was used as concealment. After a few reps with each gun, I noticed I was consistently a bit faster with the competition rig. I don't have the numbers in front of me but I was around 2.15-2.25 seconds with the M&P, and around 2.3-2.4 with the Sig, probably owning to the greater retention in my IWB holster and the long DA first shot. Overall it was a fun drill, and I surprised myself how quickly I could hammer out the 3 shots with transition on target 2 at close range. |

I had some technical glitches with the PACT timer first, and then the PivotHead glasses.
I think my best run on it was a 2.38, for the first five shots. The anchor shot was or is done at a leisurely pace. This was with a full size Beretta in USPSA gamer gear with no cover garment. I only did like 3 runs at it once I discovered the pivotheads were fucking up. I did staple up a cardboard arm/hand that I was smacking out of the way. |

It's official. I couldn't of messed this up anymore than I did.
I got out to my shooting area to find I lost my staple gun. I then ghetto rigged them up with a coat hanger and binding from a notebook. By the time I got everything ready the heat had me drenched in sweat. Whatever I'm posting it. Be gentle. |

bump because this is what arfcom needs! fuck you dirt and river shooters! View Quote When I started the 1 MOA Challenge it didn't get much love until 2-3 threads later... I expect the same here. "Guts to post" I figure this is where it loses people. Just like the 1moa challenge I suspect more do it, not happy with performance so then don't post. Shit. I was hoping for sub 2 seconds. With more live practice I know I could. If I used my actual CCW I probably could have. Less barrel to clear and I actually shoot my 229 just that little bit better. Oh well... Maybe next time |

Best raw time today was 4.53 with one just barely outside the 8", bringing the total for that run to 5.53. This is my best clean run of the day at 4.82. Target is an NDM-1, which has proper sized zones for this drill. |
