I have never had corned beef hash, but I want to!

I have a corned beef in the freezer that we bought around St patty's day(they were on sale and Harris Ranch goodness, so we got two). Once I found out pastrami is smoked corned beef that is now what I want to do with it!

ETA, fuck I missed the page thing!

I prefer roast beef hash cooked in bacon grease topped with two over medium eggs and a side of toast.  Corned beef isn't half bad either.

Fried rice with egg...  I could eat that -- along with corned beef hash, which btw I agree is one of the best breakfast foods ever invented, especially if I make it from scratch -- for every meal.

Corned beef hash, fried eggs, bacon... the best.

I like ketchup on my hash personally. I know a lot of people don't but to each his own, I guess. I also like A1, Srirachi, and salsa on eggs, so there's that - not all at the same time though.

Yes, I agree. The corned beef hash has to be well done, a layer almost burnt.

Seriously, are we not doing "Get Both" anymore?

In addition to the above delicious food combinations, I submit the scrapple and cheese omelette. Diner tested, cardiologist approved. As far as corned beef hash, just smelling it cooking on the stove brings back great childhood memories

Derpppppppppppp, there is your fucking problem. Buy a point cut corned beef, boil it for 4 hours, grind it up in a food processor, fry it up with potatoes, poach eggs, mix the eggs into the corned beef hash and top with Tabasco sauce.

Made some earlier this month, then used some of it to make hash.... OMG.

Recommend you smoke it no higher than 225 to an internal temp of 165. Rub it with plenty of ground black pepper, coriander, and a bit of brown sugar and let it rest at least a day before smoking. Don't use any additional salt if you're using store corned beef.

For the uninitiated, the canned stuff or whatever they serve at Denny's does not cut it. Seek out a real small, local diner that makes the hash from scratch. You are in for a treat.
