Drove down to Daytona this morning, tons of Jeeps on I-95 heading north, some driven, most trailered.

Never seen so many Jeeps before.

We had our local Spring Jamboree last weekend.  Also saw a bunch of jeep caravans going south down the interstate.  I guess they were heading to FL.

I like them better then the nascar fans.  Bunch of Jeep types in my neighborhood recently, so I think they are moving down here.

I have a beater YJ that I may drive down to Jeep Week next year.

Could be fun.

Its fun... all done on infield of Daytona speedway. A few lanes of a course setup an tons of Jeeps and vendors. All kinds of Jeet setups to see.

Highest sticker number I saw this year was 21xx. So at least that many there.

They had their parade and broke world record of a jeep parade this morning.

I still need to get my 89 YJ going so my 97 TJ can be modified for more off road use.  The YJ is going to be my toy for around the local area.

Mine is an 89 as well, I just drive it around on the weekends.

Has some minor oil leaks, but other than that still runs fine.

Never off roaded in it yet.

I've been driving a Jeep for 20 years and never knew there was a Jeep "wave".  I get it on my Harley, but never noticed it in my Jeep.  Maybe I need to start paying attention.

If you're not stock or drive a YJ or older, you'll get plenty waves. Stock JK/TJ, not so much. YMMV

I'd love to go one year, but my TJ isn't geared for the highway/interstate. I'd have to have a tanker truck follow me.

I told TJK about the BFL and they say it's different enough it doesn't matter.  95% of the people in that club have no idea what the sticker they're putting on their jeep really is.

A lot of off road jeeps aren't setup to drive several hundred miles of interstate very well.

Is your jeep lifted and modded?  There are different "clubs" some only wave at lifted jeeps with big tires.

My previously owned CJ and XJ were lifted, but my current 2011 JGC is stock.  Guess I'm just too old to be cool now.

I'm actually glad nobody waves at me.  I have to wave at every motorcycle that crosses my path and it kind of gets old.
