I agree with this statement. I've never seen so much jealousy and worrying about how people spend their money in one place.

You keep posting that damn truck, and it makes me really regret selling the one I had.

I spent 2 hours on the interwebs looking for decent ones last night

I wanted 35s for my Ram and lifted it 3" over stock to provide clearance for tires when off roading.  It's a mild lift compared to those trucks I see pushing 6 to 12 inches.

Sorry to derail but where'd you get yours? I've been watching govliquidation and govplanet and I've only seen the trucks(D30's?) no Blazers. Craigslist yields some results but everybody wants stupid high prices, like 8k...

I wish I had the energy to search, but there have been two or three posts recently where someone said they liked lifted trucks because they were big guys, as if it added more room in the cab

I got mine off of craigslist. I paid 2500.00 for it back in 2012. When it was still stock.

I have no use for a "lift" or any modification that doesn't increase the capability of the truck over stock, replacing the shit factory suspension
with better components that allow larger tires and greater wheel travel, durability and better handling on and off road makes all the sense in
the world to me.
The operative word is capability, having it even if your not using it is so much better than needing it and not having it.

Keeps bumpers from scraping High centering avoiding the rock we have around here.
Deeply rutted roads. But the fact I drive a Freighliner day cab all day. I'm used to looking much farther down the road than most.
Then have time to change lanes or avoid lane closures early really helps. My personal truck isn't as high but I hate not being able to see.
Every time I drove my wife's car. I felt like I was riding in a bucket.

Thank you! It's older but has aged well. Now my friend I use that term loosely is going to kill me rock crawling next weekend.
His Bronco is done. Strapped to a seat with a 40 gal tank behind the seats. I see a rollover in my future.
Oh yeah probably don't need a lift here.

So is that how you pick your boyfriends? Go with the guys with lifted trucks so you can fit it all in your mouth and get paid to do it?

Some of those ruts may be two foot deep. But then again this ain't farmer town.

The truck you've seen before and not on a highway.

Where did Joe farmer go? All you stock height guys, I charge after I pull your butt out more than twice.
Short dicked as I am. Let's go wheeling. Farmer Joe knows his roads but cutting trail isn't his bag.
For that he breaks out the old lifted one he doesn't use much. Different tools for different jobs on the farm.
News for you, sometimes a longer wheel base helps more on some obstacles. Two in and two out means someone is pulling.
In some places a SWB vehicle is more of a hindrance than a help.

That farmer argument sucks sorry.

I pull myself out.
Most the time i've been stuck is with a huge trailer that a lifted truck would suck to pull with
