On the flip side....
"For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country."-Michelle Obama (On her husband getting the nomination) "The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing 'God Bless America.' No, no, no, God damn America, that's in the Bible for killing innocent people, God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme."-Rev. Wright (Obama's pastor for 25 years, on how America treats blacks) "It's not surprising, then, they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."-President Obama (on average Americans) Shows you what kind of scum is running the country right now. |

I love our country but many of those things are not blessings at all.
9/11? Soldiers in any war who have died and the Civil War, a blessing? It tip my hat to those who serve, and I am one of those but I don't see those things as "blessings" at all. Pictures of hard working farmers, feeding the world. Workers producing for us all. Scientist who discovered life saving treatments or drugs that prevent disease. Hard workers in general. War is never a blessing or something to be thankful for. I am thankful for our first responders, service members etc. I love our country and our Constitution. |

View Quote Hispanic Asian Southerners Northerners Blacks Women Men Immigrant All of them are American. America is an idea. A belief that the shining beacon of liberty and freedom cannot be extinguished. It's why my family came here. It is why many have fought for her. Even the Civil War was a fight for the belief of what is Liberty and what is Freedom. Yes, the Confederate side fought for that belief just as hard as the Union did. But in the end, it forged another part of America. |

Third Picture down is a soldier from the 10th Cavalry Regiment. A unit made up of Freed Black men that fought in the Indian Wars and in the Span-Am. They were named Buffalo Soldiers by the Indians because of their hair and for being hard fighting troopers.
Fifth Picture down is the 65th Reg. A Mostly Hispanic/Puerto Rican Unit in WWII and Korea. The picture depicts the bayonet charge that happened in Korea against a Chinese Human Wave attack.
