I've handled the Beratta 92, Some Sig Options, CZ .etc
It seems only the polymer frame pistols give me a good grip and trigger finger placement. I like the M&P9, but prefer a better trigger. Was thinking of removing the magazine disconnect from a Browning Hi-Power, though I've not had a chance to handle one, this idea is simply based on legacy and recommendations. Would love an STI 2011 9mm, but likely out of my price range right now. Prefer something with a picatinny bottom rail. What else should I consider. |

I have big hands but others with smaller hands really dig my ruger SR9. My sister and mom and ex all were able to use it with no issues, i.e. able to reach all slide release and safety etc.
It has also been 100% for me I trust it to go bang every time I pull the trigger. |

Smaller grip feel than a 92FS IMHO. Lower bore axis = less felt recoil. Reliable platform. Lots of aftermarket. Just because you have smaller hands doesn't mean you will like to have the smallest gripped pistol. Try a bunch. Be open minded. And it's not just grip size, it's trigger reach too. (not saying Glock will be the best). |

Try a Beretta 92 with the vertec grip. The new M9A3 has one. Wilson also makes a short reach trigger.
9mm 1911 would work too. |

Seriously? Are you thinking of the PPX? Because that is in fact an ugly pistol. Like the PPQs retarded cousin. I've never heard the PPQ called ugly. |
|
Either HK VP9 or P30. You can change side panels and the back strap on the grips. The VP9 has the better trigger of the two since it is a striker fired compared to a DA/SA.

Sig has a new pistol, the P320 full size, that you can option with a small grip. Should fit the bill perfectly. Great pistol too.

Quoted: This. The FNS9 seems pretty compact and has adjustable backstraps. The M&P may be a bit larger. If you can handle the looooong trigger pull a PX4 may work too. The M&P is slightly larger, I think the contours help it fit the hand better than the square blocked pistol grips. |

It's a bit of an odd duck, but the Browning BDM is the slimmest hi-cap 9 I have ever held.

I'll say it..
XDM, 3 backstraps, pick the one you like. Shot the piss out of mine. Just shot the Berry's 2nd annual Steel Open, zero malfunctions. Guys with cooler guns had some issues. |

wife is small 5'2 105lbs she likes my sig 225 she can control easily and the slide is easy to manipulate.

Glock 17 Gen 4
CZ P09 XDM, XD Hi Power The Gen 4 Glock 19 feels larger than the 17 because the hump at the bottom of the grip is higher up due to the shortened grip |

BHP fits best in my small hands. Then again, I shoot my USP without issues so I guess you'd say I've overcome my shortcomings.

Any single stack 9 would feel good for small hands. Glock just came out with a new one, also the sig 239 comes to mind.

The M&P 9 mm has a much better trigger in its stock configuration than people give it credit for. Still, there's the Apex mod if it really bothers you. |
|
What you want is a single stack full size 9mm. Google will list them. |
|
H&K USP Compact 9mm. It's "compact", but only because the regular USP is a huge boat anchor. The USPc is a perfect size for me.

Probably an M&P, with a Gen4 Glock 19 or HK VP9 a close second.

Another vote for the FNS. Now that the minor teething issues are fixed (better recoil spring, new mag release), it is a heckuva pistol. smaller form factor than a Glock, same mag capacity (17+1), and comfortable. Oh, and MORE accurate than a Glock, and conventional rifling (lead target ammo friendly). Tried my damnedest to hate it, but couldn't. Oh, also, it has a rail and is MUCH better-balanced than most. Feels a LOT like a BHP in the hand, and you can change the grip to fit your hand. Price is pretty nice, too.
