Damn Baltimore, you scary. Glad you made it out ok. I avoid going into the city at all. The last time I was in there several years back I took a wrong turn and ended up in an area with packs of natives hanging out near the liquor & check cashing store. It would have been bad during the day but night added a whole new level of terror to it. Thankfully the rusty sedan I was driving "fit in" with the area and didn't get any attention. I believe there is supposed to be a major rally downtown on Saturday. We were supposed to go see Thomas the train at the B/O railroad museum for the kids, but we are skipping.

Hay nothing new here. Baltimore "The Block" makes Ferguson look like Beverly Hill's. You start messing around in the wrong street and homie can get dragged into an ally and get his head caved in with a baseball bat. These are just the normal hood rats that hang out down at the inner harbor and smoke and sell dope. Small group won't be missed. Baltimore cop little bit more able to keep the trash under control.

I'm about 8 miles north in Baltimore County, just over the city line. I was seriously close to opening the safe and popping pmags last night. Could be an interesting summer. The tensions will surely impact the downtown businesses, and the O's attendance. Fuck that shit....stay out of the city and be on high alert otherwise.

Last night some official in Baltimore blamed the bad stuff on "outside" people.
The reporter asked how he knew that they were "outside" people and the best I could hear (I was in the kitchen away from the computer) is that he danced around the answer. All the looting and burning in Ferguson was due to "outside" people too. I wonder if there is a roving group of "outsiders" who travel to racial hotspots to burn, loot, damage cars, etc. |

I heard zero evidence of outsiders other than Shabazz and his group. Not much he can do in a overwhelmingly democratic state. In reality almost the entire state is red except in the high population city counties of Baltimore and DC. We lose elections every year because of a democratic majority of population in the cities but a VERY small minority of land ownership in the state as a whole. Most of the MD counties are conservative. But they have small populations. 
Replace with Shitcago and Illinois and you have the same for our state. It's a true disease. |

It definitely looks like the media did its job. It has effectively turned what might have been a conversation on government law enforcement and procedures into a racial conflict. No one is mentioning the fact that fewer "blacks" are killed by law enforcement then "other" ethnic groups, including whites. ....but that would go against the narrative being played out. |
