Had a maroon '66 GT, 289 4V, 4 speed & 2.8 rear end. A little slow off the line, but great for long road trips.

Loved that car! Wish I still had it.

Always wanted a Mustang!  I love the look of them over these last few years, too.  Those are some pretty good pics that you found there!

The Missus and I went to Hawaii for our 10 yr anniversary last Summer and we rented a convertible Mustang.  So much fun.

Back in the day arch rivals with my Charger. Classic to be sure.
Mach 1's were about as cool as it got.

Nice

Happy birthday.

I helped my neighbor restore and rebuild a 66.  We wielded new metal onto old rust holes, rebuilt engine and everything from ground up.   We pulled and put in the engine and transmission 2 times.  He finally got it to paint a few months ago.  It was fun, but would have been better if it was mine, but im not really a hot rod kind of guy.  But how could i not help with such a classic American car.

Sweet post.

My first car was a 66, 289 3spd.  Drove fine, only put a clutch in it and it was pretty reliable.  Had it for a year and sold it, dad kept telling me "don't sell it, you'll regret it!" but I didn't listen.  3 months after I sold it the regrets showed up.  That was over 20 years ago.

The first of my friends who could drive owned one and later a Cougar. Loved those cars.
When he was grounded they were easy to hot wire and cruise around in. Very fast also.

I'm all for it! I don't have any pics of mine handy...

Well, here's the most recent. I was trying to teach my lazy-ass son to fetch me tools.

I've since removed the engine and had some welding done. I'm re-painting the engine bay currently.

OP, I currently own a 2007 mustang coupe with shockingly low miles on it, a 2014 mustang coupe with about 514 miles on it and 1965 red mustang coupe with 139,000 miles on it that still runs well.

None of my mustangs were driven on salted roads this past winter in Ohio either.  I have a jeep grand cherokee and a honda accord for winter driving.

So, I started life many years ago owning a 1965 mustang, a 1966 mustang and a 1973 Mach I mustang.  People used to knock on my door asking me if I wanted to sell any of them.  Ah, the good old days.

I remember when my dad bought a new 1969 mustang.. I tried to sway him to the camaro pace car they had at the Chevy dealer across town but a nine year old didn't have enough pull.

I just told the wife today that I must be rolling into my midlife crisis because the new Mustangs & Vettes don't look too bad IMO and normally I wouldn't be caught dead in one.
