Setting a good example as a loving person will do more to make folks consider and respect your views than Being a finger wagging preachy type. Not sure where you got the idea that all Christians are in your face types.

Christians are people. Just like every group of people, there are good and bad among them.

I think porn is the same... There is good and bad porn. The Japanese make some freaky shit that is just weird.

Even as a libertarian leaning atheist, I've always thought Christians were generally pretty good and porn wasn't so good, but the Christians here, or actually a few in particular, are slowly changing my mind.

The problem of porn is not that it shows too much, but shows too little. Sure, I've viewed and enjoyed it. But it is supremely dissatisfying. I've made a conscious effort to stay away from it for the last decade or so. It simplifies the man-woman relationship to one of transactions rather than a meaningful relationship. I'm addicted to the connection made between two people when in a passionate embrace or experiencing the thrill of the courtship. Porn simplifies that to its basest level and provides no substance, only transient pleasure. It is akin to receiving a "Participation Award" when you finished in last place. There is no satisfaction, only an empty trophy.
