I stayed in downtown Memphis years ago with my Dad on business. I would leave the Holiday Inn and the beggars would hit any body.

They would rarely come up to me, even then they kept their distance.

One tried the intimidation trick. I told him that I would fold him up like a lawn chair and carry his ass to the police station.

He quickly disappeared.

Reminds me of a story my grandfather always enjoyed telling me when he used to live in Fayettenam. He was sitting third in line at a red light when the first guy in line who's on a motorcycle decides he's sitting too far out into the intersection so we walks his bike back a bit right into the front bumper of the car in front of my grandfather. The biker somehow decides it wasn't his fault and he was going to kick the guy in the car's ass. He walked up to his open window and grabbed his shirt and started yelling that he was going to kick his ass and the guy in the car decided he was going to let him try. The guy in the car was a huge motherfucker that easily dwarfed the biker and proceeded to kick the bikers ass in short order. He then walked up to his bike and moved it out of the way by shoving it into the median where it rolled down a hill and flopped on its side. He got 30 years of laughs from seeing that.

One day bringing my Father home from chemo treatment we decided to stop in and check on our camp.

Dirt road, posted 15mph (not really legal but whatever) I was doing 17mph exactly. (I just checked my speedometer when I saw the sign.)

Asshole on a 4wheeler coming from the opposite direction waving his arms motioning downward yelling at me to slow down.

I flipped him off and kept driving. He spun around in the road and started after me.

At 17mph it didn't take long for me to stop and unass out of the vehicle before he could get to my door and have me at a disadvantage.

He was almost to the tailgate when I stepped out and he immediately stopped, muttering something about slowing down.

I told him I was going 17mph, and that he appeared to have been going faster than that on his wheeler.

I then introduced myself, told him where my camp was, shook his hand and said have a nice day.

When I got back in the truck, my Dad was laughing. "I don't think he expected YOU to get out of the truck."

I'm not that intimidating IMO, but at 6'1", prob 240 at the time, zztop beard and a pissed off look, I guess wheeler boy was surprised.

Dad passed away Sept 29th last year, I'm glad he got a chuckle out of that before he went. I miss you Dad.

My son is 6'2" at 15, and has always been about a head taller than his peers. He really enjoys the role of "gentle giant," which he cultivates. But he also (possibly unfortunately) takes after me when he's had enough of little guys trying to prove their manhood. You do NOT want to be the object of his undivided attention.

There was a guy I worked with who was 6'8" tall. I felt bad for him because it seemed every time we visited a local watering hole in whatever state or town we were working in someone HAD to try and beat the shit out of him and it always ended badly for the challenger.

This coworker was the quietest nicest guy you'd meet but it seemed someone got their liquid courage on and had to try him all too often.

(I hate last minute mergers.)

Anyways I notice after a few turns they are following me. I continue on my way and get to the Cookout. (Great food cheap)
I pull up and down into the secondary parking lot and stop. (only place to park) The guy gets out and just stands at the front of his truck. The wife is now getting the spidey sense as well.
I get her order and my 2 year olds order. Our cookout is walk up only. No drive through etc...

As I open the door, he starts over in my direction.
I get fully out of the car, and as I clear the door, he does an OMG face, says "Im sorry, you big guy have a nice day." In a Mexican accent.
Quickly high tailing it to his truck and driving away quickly.

FYI I had my carry on me, as it never leaves my hip, unless Im swimming, sleeping, or at work. I have to carry it on my ankle at work or they get all upset...
For reference Im 6'9 and 360 built like a lineman.

Wife made a joke that its size that makes the difference.

I am 6'3" and 275 and very well distributed as to appear very intimidating.

We have some friends who's parents live in Traverse City that we stay with regularly.

Dad is another big ol' guy. Used to be 6'7" and right around 300# but he's dropped down to around 220 in recent years as he's aged. Well if you know the area, traffic at times in the tourism season can be down right stupid and annoying. We were hitting up one of the Marinas to launch a boat and ended up getting cut off by somebody...being the somewhat angry guy that he is Dad decided to cut the other guy off as well...except he's driving a suburban with a 25" boat attached to it. The other driver was not exactly happy about essentially being forced onto a sidewalk and decided to follow us to the marina.

Dad parked the Suburban in one of the long spots waiting for the launch to open up and the tourist stopped in the middle of the lot, blocking traffic, hopped out of his econobox and started heading our way. Dad got out of the car, and the immediate moment of clarity on this guys face was classic, he just did an about face and went right back to his car.

Are you aware that there are people in this world that have a severe medical condition which causes them to be that way? My mother for instance is one of those people. She is a truck driver that has bad knees and a bad back from driving the truck but you probably do not care about that case either. Oh well I am not one of those people I am 6'4" 245lbs and I exercise every day. I would love to see you say something like to my mother in front of me. Probably never happen though you are probably just an internet tough guy. I doubt very seriously you would say that to someones face. Just my thought.What do you think. Oh I am sorry you probably do not have a brain. I on the other hand will be happy to buy you a plane ticket to come here and see if you have the nerve to say that to someone I know.

We got to Dicks Sporting Goods, about 15 years ago I was 6'1" around 270, and my buddy is 6'3" and 295, the rain is coming down and we decide to wait for it to let up to make the run in. Car full of teenage boys pulls right up next to us and starts to get out when I can feel the truck vibrate from being hit by the door., it did hit the plastic trim/guard and did not even leave a mark but the look on those boys faces were priceless when I opened the door and was only 2-3 feet from the guy and yelled "did you just hit my truck with your door."

I'm almost OPs height but the only thing it ever gets me is having lil ol ladies at the grocery store asking me to reach stuff down to them

He's also got 100 lbs on me but I like to keep the weight off, because I got that weird body type where all the extra weight goes straight to the belly and the arms and legs always stay thin
