First off I'm not to found of jewelry, I currently own none, just a watch that I hardley wear. I'm getting married this coming November, and my wife-to-be asked me what kind of band I wanted. My first response was gold, plain yellow gold. Then I got to thinking, do I really want that old triditional look? Most of my friends have tungsten carbide rings which are not real appealing to me mainly because they are usually black and I work for a carbide tool company... I hear silver shows scratches more then gold, but it's cheaper, therefore easier to replace If I lose it.. Undecided on what one piece of jewlery i will be wearing the rest of my life. What are y'all sporting, and why? View Quote I had a simple titanium band, lost it now have a simple tattooed band. I told the wife that if she ever comes home and my finger is on the kitchen counter, its over, for good!!! |

I'm getting married next year and the ring I picked out is damascus steel with an inner ring of wood from the USS North Carolina.

Simple gold band. Got it brushed/dulled or whatever it is called to make it slightly different. It's the only jewelry I wear.

I've got my dad's original wedding band , which he outgrew. My wife got their wedding date and ours engraved on the inside. It is gold but I'm not sure what type. It was more comfortable than any I tried in stores, and we like the sentimental aspect and the cheap skate aspects is nice too.

Nothing because I don't want a finger de-gloved. Google it - show the lady - and you too can be ring free. Why would you do that to me sir? WHY. Tungsten carbide for me. Ive had it almost ten years and still looks bright shiny new. It gets banged around a lot.
On a side note my friend likely still has his finger because of his ring. He was wrestling a big, heavy dump trailer trying to get it hooked up to his truck. It slipped of the block and the full tongue weight slammed down on his finger; pinning his finger between the edge of the ball opening and the cinder block. Somehow it managed to land right on his titanium band. He wiggled his finger out while the weight was still on the ring. It was slightly ovaled but prevented serious damage. |

I can't tell you about what doesn't exist. Had one, lost it, hated wearing it and it was dangerous in my profession, so I never replaced it.
I hate rings. |

Lyn Magnusen made my ring. I love it, 15 years now.

1st one is at the bottom of lake Ocoee. Wife was with me when I lost it water skiing. #2 is a simple gold band.

I have three. One plain gold band I originally bought with my wife. I have two more. One is a fancier gold band with three small diamonds, then another gold band with seven bigger diamonds. 1 1/4 carats, if I remember correctly. I got the last two from my mom after my dad passed away.

Quoted: I wear one of the black, $20 rubber rings right now. My gold one was always getting ground on by lifting weights or working on cars, or shooting, or whatever. I put that one in the safe and now wear a cheap one. View Quote |

Dunno, it is in a box somewhere. I need all the fingers that I still have.

Flat Platinum on the outside, rounded 24kt Gold on the inside. 3 grand, and the most expensive part of the whole wedding.

Got married 36 years ago. Got a gold band with stars cut into it. It was tight then and I stopped wearing it as I was a tech in the Navy and could not have any metal on. Then I got too big and never had it resized. Probably wore the orig 6 mo's. Fast forward 4 years ago. We were in a mall and the wife wanted to stop in the jewelery store. No biggie I like looking and she doesn't buy jewelery often. She stops at the mens counter. She wanted me to start wearing a ring again. OK I picked out a Cobalt Ring. I did not like the heft of the tungsten or the pliability of the titanium. I weld and forge hot steel all day so I really did not want anything expensive. If I wore it I did not want it to smash onto my finger if I dropped something on it The cobalt was $250 and would break rather than crush. Then I found the exact same ring on EBAY for $35. Oh well. I hardly ever wear it it gets in the way.

$100 plain gold band. Lost it less than two weeks later.
I'm not meant to wear jewelry. |

Plain 6mm wide comfort fit 950 Platinum...like this: http://i.imgur.com/L65SPsa.jpg Forgot what I paid for it on Blue Nile, but it is $1,370 now. Probably more at a local shop. Looked great when it was new. Looked like shit a month later. Had it polished last year and it looked great again...for a month. Can't recommend. This exact band in yellow gold. Very simple. Perfect for me ETA: First time around I had a simple gold band and it seemed to look a lot better with wear on it. View Quote |

I have a titanium wedding ring that cost me $75. I have worn it probably 5 times since 2004. I hate wearing rings.
My wife's set was $23,000. Waste of money in my opinion. |

High grade titanium here. Never take it off unless I'm getting some scum out from under it.

Platinum band from Tiffany's and wife's wedding band surrounded by diamonds is from Tiffany's also.

Wide platinum band with a hand carved pattern outlined by polished edges. Currently residing at the bottom of Lake Erie.
Wearing a wedding band while water-skiing....not one of my better ideas. |

Got 3 of these for 13 bucks each. They look like white gold or platinum. Durable, good looking, and CHEAP. I'm not into jewelry either. Sorry, can't post a picture because I can't get the url for it, it's one of those zoom deals. |

some bulky tungsten ring. I fucking hate it. Haven't worn it in almost a month and the wife finally started bitching about it. Will be getting it tattooed when my tat chick is back in town.
I get a tat she sees me wearing my ring. Its a win win |
