I'm envisioning a website similar to "People of Walmart" where we can post pics taken of known .22 neckbeards as they make purchases at the WM counter and sales, lets shame these fuckers into submission.

There is one at my walmart that is the typical neckbeard. Green drab jacket, blur jeans, farmers hat and apparently no job. He hangs out waiting for .22 then moves to Cabelas or Academy.
I find it odd that you guys are at these stores enough yourselves to recognize other buyers but dont think you are neckbeards yourselves.
I just picked new camera and video equipment if anyone wants to make a neckbeard documentary? Does anyone know any neckbeards we can interview?
Make sure to follow up with pics of their vans choke-full of shit as high as you can see...

View Quote The difference is that most of us go in to buy a few boxes or a brick, while a neackbeard goes in to buy out the entire inventory. I bought one brick online last week. I left 99 for the rest of you. Or for one neckbeard. |

View Quote meh, I drop in once a week for stuff and try to make a point to eyeball the ammo shelves, they are always full (lately) but there is no spot for .22lr.... I do not think I have ever seen a neckbeard make a purchase....I'm never there early which is when they are reportedly most active. But due to the on call nature of my job, I may find myself in a position to swing by there before or after work to see if I can observe and document the elusive neckbeard in the act of neckbearding.... I have not bought ammo at Walmart in at least a couple years, but I do see their prices and availability as a barometer related to our hobby. I would also like to see if there is any collusion between store employees and neckbeards as has been alluded to by many. I don't need any more .22lr..... I was a consistent weekly buyer back when the bulk packs were under $10 and it was just sitting on the shelf....no panic then....just foresight. |

Quoted: Sooo...You are a neckbeard yourself? I bought all mine at the Broadway Walmart in Tucson in 2008. 6 bulk packs at a time, no limit but too heavy to carry more than 6 at a time or the double bags would rip out. When the price hit $14.97 for 550 I wouldn't buy it anymore. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a18/MakarovshooterinAZ/100_1731_zps5e25439e.jpg View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: I don't need any more .22lr..... i think some folks are playing a little too fast and loose with the term "neckbeard". you aren't a neckbeard if you are shooting it, you're a neckbeard if you buy it with the sole purpose of flipping for profit only.

There was a neckbeard at the Mechanicsburg, PA Walmart I saw a couple weeks ago. I stopped by the ammo cabinet and a literal neckbeard wearin OD green had his phone out and he was entering data checking prices obviously. He nervously glanced at me as we waited for the clerk to come over. Clerk came over and he asked to see a large box of the green tipped crap. He asked if he could take a round out to look at it and the clerk wedged open the box and pulled a round out for him. You should have seen his face light up when he saw the green tip, like a little kid at Christmas. Neckbeard told clerk he would take all the boxes, so he took about $450 worth of green tips that day. I left with nothing as I was just there to watch, similar to a whale watcher on a cruise up in Alaska, trying to catch a glimpse of the neckbeard in nature going about its game.

I wish I had the free time to stack up .22 ammo on a sheet and take 'artsy' pix of it.
Actually, no I don't. Because I can't imagine being bored enough where digging out my .22 ammo and taking a pic of it seems like fun. |

As recent as 2008, Walmarts were often out of stock when I'd stop by to check so when I'd find it in stock, I'd always clean the shelf. Of course I was buying it to shoot and not resell so no neckbearding here. The last time I bought 10 bricks, I got lots of looks like I was a criminal and was immediately escorted outside by an assistant manager as soon as I paid for the ammo. |

The only way it will ever stop is for people to stop overpaying for ammo on GB, etc.
I still have ~5K on hand from the pre-neckbeard glory days of sub-$15 bricks of 22LR but even if I shoot every round of it I sure as hell won't be feeding some POS neckbeard with my money by paying some retarded price for 22LR on Gunbroker. |

I once saw the neckbeard in it's natural habitat.
8:00AM in front of Sportsman's Warehouse. 10 deep. I thought about taking a picture and mocking them, but I had places to be. |

I stopped Christmas shopping. I just wrap up a box of CCIs and stick a name tag on it. You'd think I was handing out gold coins! Even the little ones jump for joy and shout "Twenty Twos!!!"

The chief neckbeard around here has moved on. Used to wait at Academy every AM. I know this because I get off work at 0700 and would stop there when I needed ammo to shoot. Typical--walking with a cane until the doors opened then hauling ass to the ammo counter ahead of everyone else. He was so familiar they even let him wait in the ante room if it was cold. Yes he did have a neckbeard. It was almost comical. Everyone knew him by name even the employees. I can't tell if he is the guy selling on armslist or not. He bragged about having 50000 rounds. I wrote a letter to Academy asking why the ammo has to be stocked at opening and now they don't get shit for ammo. I also never see chief neckbeard there either. Guess he's stalking one of the three walmarts now. Fuck it I'm good for a while now between internet and academy. Just hope this insanity dies down by the time my kids get to shooting age.
