I am going to be picking up a new CC piece because I am tired of carrying my full size XD. No matter how many other guns I look at I just keep coming back to the Thunder 380. I know people knock on its looks but I think it is one sexy handgun. Also, the one I have shot was smooth as butter. The only drawback for me is that it is a .380. Tell me why I should or shouldn't want one.

I've heard good things about Bersa

I love my Bersa Thunder in .380. Digests everything.  Bersa also makes a 9mm version too.

I have the Thunder in .380 that is the double stack, my wife has the single stack version. They are a great little gun. Buy with confidence, they feel a LOT better than the latest generation of .380 micro pistols.

I want one too for some reason, even though they are the same size as the subcompact 9mm's on the market now, and much larger than the current 380 offerings.

They feed well and they are straight shooters.  I have one.

That is all.

Maybe you find it attractive because Walther designed an attractive gun.

Make sure your cycles with your ammo. Mine has a tight chamber.

My dad has a model 83, basically a steel-framed Thunder .380.  It's a bit of a brick for it's size,  but it's a fantastic shooter and a great little carry gun.

Because it looks like a Walther PPK?

I love my Thunder 380 and carry it every day. Carry the Buffalo Bore hot loads and you'll be just fine.  I carry the 100gr flat nose hard cast and am not worried about under penetration, but infact over penetration.

And yes, it is a sexy little handgun

Like everyone else said, it's just a solid little gun. We have one, and it's done well.

I always thought they were an attractive looking pistol. I have just hesitated buying one because I wasn't sure of their reliability given the price point.

Because you like complicated weapons with too many parts, expensive mags and crappy triggers?

Has the price of 380 ammo come down at all?

I bought my wife a Thunder .380 a few years ago for Christmas because she liked shooting my Makarov that's chambered in .380, but had a hard time manipulating the slide due to the heavy recoil spring. I bought her a single stack with the factory rubber wrap around grips and the duo tone finish. It's a great shooter, eats any ammo we feed it, and while I'm not a fan of all the safety features, she likes them.

When I was looking for a new EDC, I really considered some of the Bersa offerings, but I got such a good deal on m XDS that it didn't make much sense to buy anything else.

I have a Thunder 380 and it eats anything I put through it. Great little gun, but the round catches a lot of flack.

PSA had some for $13.99 or $14.99 recently. Not as cheap as it was pre-panic, but it's getting there.

Guess its time to pick up a set of .380 dies! At least I can share powder with my 9mm

Make sure you keep it well lubed if you go the Bersa route. A light coat of RemOil won't cut it past 25 rounds (or at least it didn't for mine).

I want my 380 in a small frame.  If I'm going to carry that large of a gun it will be at least 9mm

I have one, but never fired it.

Had a Bersa .380 Thunder. Fixed barrel and small sights = digests everything, accurate/easy to be accurate with.

It's a PPK (/S?) clone, and good at it.

The 3rd. gun I've owned was a Thunder .380. It was reliable and accurate. The reason I wouldn't choose it for a carry gun today is........ Google images: ....and that's the CC version.

I know this. That is why I am confused as to why I want one so bad haha! I know there are other more practical options out there but I just can't help but want one. At least with the price of the Bersa I could always pick up a small 9mm shortly after if I need too. You can't have too many guns right

Thunder 380 is GTG. Hell we have a Thunder 45 and a Firestorm 45. Zero problems.

I'm pondering a sub compact also, just because.  I'm looking at the p290rs (Already load 9mm, don't want to mess with .380) .    Too many choices.

I hated mine. It's the only Pistol that I've ever sold. It is inexpensive for a reason. It feels cheap and I dislike magazine disconnects.

They are great guns, but in todays market of EXTREMELY tiny .380's and 9mm's that are the same size they have been outclassed.
