I've pretty much been an extreme loner for the last 8 or so years.
I do get tired of it, but have found that I can only stomach a few hours of company before I'm ready to be alone again. It does suck as I'm missing out on a lot of things in life. |

As to your question, yes, I am pretty much alone most of the time.
Have been for awhile. It was difficult at first, but it is what it is.......... |

There's always something or someone that requires my time and attention. That gets pretty old too.

Oh look, another quality nsl thread.
But seriously, get out and socialize. It's no one's fault but your own that you're alone all the time. |

I'm a loner for the most part as well. I have a small circle of friends, mainly centered around guns, and shooting, and this site believe it or not, hell, my best friends I met from this site and some other gun forums. I don't really go out and do anything, just to work, home, shoot, go to gunshows or go backpacking and camping.
Sometimes I get lonely, but for the most part, I keep myself busy, and it doesn't bother me really. I hate large crowds, and groups, just not my thing. |

take up reloading and you'll wonder where the time went. Let the ocd grab hold and craft some fine ammo

I get as much social interaction here as I do at work.
I like hanging out with my dogs though, so I don't feel that alone. Lately I've been sticking to myself almost all the time I'm not at work. Haven't even been out shooting, but part of that is because the guy I usually shoot with doesn't have the same off day to go shooting anymore. |

Alone? HAHAHAHAAHA!!!!!
I get alone time precisely twice a day for 30 minutes... the drive to and from work. I can't complain though, it beats being an anti-social hermit, and dammit, kids are fun! |

I've been a stay at home dad for the last 12 years, want to switch?
|
|
I'm on the opposite end.
I get a 5 hour window of alone time Monday afternoons in the winter when my daughter goes to her grandmas, other than that I am with family, customers, or employees pretty much 24/7 I wouldn't mind a little more of it each week. |

Do you feel it's detrimental to your quality of life? Of course. why don't you get out? Not much in common with most people. Most of my coworkers can't quit talking sports, WOW, or keep their phones put away. Old friends are about the same. |

Are you alone, or are you lonely? There is a difference. If you're lonely, get off-line and do something. What do you like to do? |

I am a farmer, even with family and employees I am alone most of the time. I get sick of people pretty quickly too. I never really thought I was missing out on anything.

In the wise words of Green Day, when masturbation has lost its fun, you're fucking lonely.
So, has it? |

I have a boy that is almost 2 years old that just learned to open doors....I am never alone.

Being in the military I never really could except for when I was in the field. I had it better than most being with only 1 other guy sometimes, up to 4 others. Then being married with kids makes that impossible. I can't say I'd want to be a loner, but I don't think it would bug me much either.

My wife will be on a Pharmacy rotation for a month here soon 3 hours away. I am already dreading it.

Last year I lost my wife to cancer, and since then I have been on my own. I am an immigrant to the U.S and do not have any family here.
Pretty much some weeks if it wasn't for the lady I hired to help me keep up with the house, I wouldn't see anyone at all. |

I am. I work at home, town is 10 miles away. Kids and wife leave for school/work at 7 am, nobody came home until after 5. It's awesome.

I'm alone most of the time. I find that I quickly bore of being around other people. I has a few friends, my parents, and the rest of you jack wagons to socialize with.

If I ain't working I'm alone. 'Less its a weekend night, I usually find people to hang out with.

In general I can only tolerate the other humans for about 22-23 days before I find myself getting easily irritated by the little things they do. When this happens I realize that I must head back to the mountains to cleanse my mind of them. Five days is the minimum time I need to recuperate.
