I agree with Sub about the shit they put on the roads.
I am 55, cars are built better now, galvanized, whatever they do to the metal.
1970's cars and trucks, a few PA or OH winters, you had a rust bucket.
1977 Jeep CJ-5, 2 years of winter driving, you could see through it.
That's why Ziebart got rich with the under coating scheme.

It wasn't wrecked. I just hate seeing one on a flatbed in the winter. Watching the salt spray hit it was making me twitch.

Sad because it's wrecked or sad because it's not being driven?

Kind of surprising.

The local exotic car dealership/service places all have enclosed trailers and/or enclosed rollbacks for vehicle transport.

They also have a Veryon in their showroom right now.

Testarossa is the middle-aged, fat, mid-life crisis version of a Ferrari.  I did NOT like it.

I've driven four Ferarri's now: Testarossa, F40, F50, and 430.  I would not mind a 430 at all, and I would probably commit murder for an F40, but the other two were definitely proof that the 80's and 90's were a bad time to buy a supercar.

My current bedroom wail poster car is a 458, but I'm scared.

Same here, try and find one that needs maintenance and fix it all myself, Anybody that has worked on a car in the past decade can work on a 308.

I'm pretty sure my truck would dust it, but its a Ferrari

And you just look like a twat if you wear short shorts while driving a Camry

Plus they dont handle all that bad so thats a plus.

They are one of those cars that are awesome but so dated at the same time.

I looked into a 308 so I could be Magnum

I also wanted a 355 because they handle great and sound like sex but they have a bunch of problems, like window switches made out of roofing tar

It will be a couple years before I can afford a 430, so I guess i will stick to non Italian cars

If I ever buy a Ferrari some day for weekends and nice sunny days, it will probably be a 308. There are a few reasons:

1. A guy like me with a moderately decent and solid middle class salary can actually afford to buy a decent one, without having to resort to selling the wife and kids.
2. It's a timeless design that still looks good in 2015 (and hey...Magnum, amirite?!!)
3. A gearhead can actually work on the thing himself, at home.
4. (Related to #3), the maintenance schedule isn't utterly insane.

The fact that a 2015 Camry with a V6 will knock a 308's dick in the dirt? Don't give a shit.

They're actually a fun little car to drive. They also seem to have become more in demand in the last couple years, so good luck finding a well-kept example at a decent price. I was looking at getting a mid-life crisis car, and instead spent the seed money on NFA. In retrospect, I would have used the car much more frequently.

Having driven a lot of Ferrari's. I would take a 612 over that any day.
