Any recommendations on a new door/frame for my house? Right now I think an eight year old could kick it in. Maybe.

You can get pre-hung steel doors at Home Despot for a reasonable price and the installer can heft up the framing to the wall studs easily and inexpensively to make a kick-in near impossible.  Will it stop an police swung battering ram?  Probably not after a couple of swings.  But a single guy or two trying to get past it?  not going to happen.  So he then goes to the back door or the nearest windows he can throw something through.  But they aren't all that much more than a nice door, and probably less than a fancy solid hardwood door.

This. Harden the door  but don't forget other areas of access. And don't go overboard, just has to be a harder target than your neighbors.

Got one a year ago from Home Depot.  Reasonaby secure--better than the original door.  About $1000 installed with a 15% sale discount on the door. The lockset is extra--another $40.
