Had my LAR15 for 6 or so years now. It's my GT AR. Great gun. Glad I bought before prices went crazy.

Wal Mart has some Sporticals in your price range.

And they work.

My RRA 1911 is just about on par with my Les Baer Premier II and it was over a grand cheaper.

I have two, they're like Springfield Custom,, cheaper than Wilson and and EB, but every bit perfect.

If I had cash, I'd really want to get their Basic Limited right now.

I've got 3 RRAs, no complaints. But these were all pre-2008 purchases so I'm sure I paid less than what they now want for them.

Mine too.... I have one with over 15K on it.  It was my first AR and I also have one of the NM 20" uppers but it has much less mileage on it.

The only thing I am "bad mouthing" is their obnoxious prices on everything. Not saying they make bad stuff. I have their rear stand alone buis but I bought it used.

All I know about RRA is that they make good for the money 1911's. (from what I learned from GD)

RRA isn't a brand that makes cheap bangers.  They're a brand that makes rifles that can win Perry out of the box.

That means they charge more than your bag o' bargains AR manufacturer.

I have 7.  It's a lucky number.  I bought the last three before our state's Dear Leader and your next president, Moron O'Malley, decided to ban them here.  We are so much safer now....

How can a price be obnoxious?  A price is simply a value placed on a good or service.  Whether it's high or low is in the eye of the beholder, but I don't see how the simple act of a merchant setting a price is "obnoxious".

Now forum posts on the other hand can be quite obnoxious.

I agree about their published 'MSRP'...wtf are they smoking?  I can get a standard Noveske for just a couple bills more.  BUT, go to a dealer and look at actual sticker price, they are in line with Bushmaster and just a bit more expensive than PSA.  Find one on sale and you'll get a great deal.  But yea, only an idiot would pay their suggested retail price.

My RRA AR has been flawless for ~5 years now.

Paying MSRP is for chumps but they are good rifles. I have no experience with their 1911's.

Never had a problem with either of my rifles. Have a middy in 556 and a 458 Socom. both have been flawless and no, I did not pay MSRP...

Only idiots would pay anyone's MRSP

My first AR was custom ordered with a Daniels Defense 9.5 rail, stainless barrel, kns pins, Houge grip, so com stock, etc. that was before I joined this sight. It performed flawlessly and was very accurate. A couple of years I gave it to a guy that worked for me in leiu of payment for some work. He still has it and loves the gun. RRA is good to go. At one time they made some excellent 1911 pistols as well.

I  eyeballed their 458 socom upper for a long time. I really wanted to pull the trigger (literally) on their beast upper.

Bought a motorcycle instead. Changed gears (literally) on that decision.

But after all the stuff I have read, they are GTG. The prices look to be worth it.

Yep.  I have uppers that cost 3 times what my RRA 20" predator pursuit upper did, and are no more accurate.

I have two RRA mid-length carbines. They are well-built and damned accurate. They were priced the same as every other AR in the racks, and cheaper than some.

And I have a RRA match trigger in my DPMS match AR.
