12 Year-Old’s Facebook Page Locked After Posting Viral Video Questioning Obama’s Love of Country
Last week, Conservative teen CJ Pearson, an African-American middle-schooler, posted an epic defense of New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s repeated claims that President Barack Obama “doesn’t love America.”
*** On Friday, C.J. Pearson, a 12-year-old conservative from Georgia who posted a viral video supporting Rudy Giuliani, discovered that his personal Facebook page was locked. In an exclusive interview with Examiner.com on Saturday, Pearson said he received a message from someone about 6 a.m. Friday. That’s when he learned his account and page had been locked for “suspicious activity.” View Quote Welcome to free speech in the Progressive Liberal world, I have no doubt this is a prelude to what is in store for us all via FCC soon. |

That old Bill of Rights is obsolete---written 200 years ago by some old white men.
We are now governed by "intellectual" liberals who decide what those first 10 amendments mean and who they apply to. And they do not apply to you and me. |
|
So, Facebook found it suspicious that a Black kid doesn't view Obama as The Messiah?

Unless Facebook has changed their policy, a 12 year olds page should be locked, if they admit they are 12. They have (used to have) a policy that you have to be 13 to create an account.
Very hard to claim you were shut down for your views, when your entire presence is a volition of policy, and cause to be locked down. |
|
I'm going to assume there is more to the story until it's shown otherwise. Pretty sure people post political stuff on Facebook all the time.

If FB locked it because FB says so then whatever. If FB locked it because they have been told to block such activity by the government then that would be a major issue. However all I see in the article is what the kid said, with no proof of anything. |

Just Googled it. Facebook policy seem to be that you have to be at least 13 years old to have an account. I wonder if someone ratted him out based on his age.

Yep. If he was 12, he was violating Facebook's TOS, and deserved to have his account locked. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I think you officially have to be 13 to be on FB. I had a friend start a "baby" account to announce their pregnancy. They friended a whole bunch of people and FB shut down the page.

I've read things here and there that basically came out and talked about the funding and start up. |

I'm pretty sure 12 year olds aren't allowed to have Facebook per their ToS.
Plus, 12 year olds are pretty much indirectly forbidden by U.S. law to interact or sign up on a site like Facebook, chat rooms, or forums like this by the COPPA. To make it legal the site would need their parents to sign and fax in a form that gave them permission to share personal information. |
