We had some severe flooding here about seven years ago. The corn/bean fields that were in a flood plain all got a few feet of water thanks to the large river that ran beside them.
Once the waters started to recede, the carp and gar that were exploring the fields were left in about a foot of water in the drainage ditches along the perimeter. Do you know what a 10lb carp does when you hit it with 7.62x39? It's glorious. We had a great day shooting fish. There were literally hundreds of them in this ditch. |
