I would think the promoter is taking a larger than normal risk. I'm no doc but it would be logical to assume the risk of serious injury or death goes up substantially as the age of the fighters goes up.

I always enjoyed Frank Shamrocks fights better than Kens. Man that brings back memories - I haven't seen Ken, Frank, Pete Williams, Mikey Burnett or Joe Rogan in a long time...

Kimbo will get his ass beat! shamrock is about one decade behind his prime and the sport has passed him by leaps and bounds. That said, Kimbo is a stand up brawler who consistently gets whipped by anyone that has had at least one hour of MMA training. Shamrock is a legend and sacrificed so much for the sport but MMA has evolved into such a technical sport that he would be a mid range fighter in his bracket with today's fighters. Never the less Shamrock will make short work of Kimbo unless he is paid extra to keep it going......which I suspect will take place.

I'd like to think you're right, but how much fire in the belly can a 50 year old dude have? I fear Ken's there for the paycheck, and be covered with about 3" of crusty ring rust, and if he's been training hard enough to not be crazy rusty, he's gonna have every joint in his body taped together. Should Ken win? Yes. Will he win? Not if he gets punched in the face in the first 10-15 seconds of the fight.
