Poll incoming.

First order of business, shut down every alphabet soup agency, with the exception of the DoD, FBI, CIA.
Second order of business, start arresting every democrat politician that has held office on charges of treason. Third order of business, abuse my 90 day limited military action window and bomb the shit out of all terrorist strongholds we know of. ETA: 4th order of business would be to get on the TV in front of the UN building and personally torch it with my military grade flamethrower. |

Bang sloots. Eliminate any 3 letter agency. Lower taxes. Ban religion influencing laws.

I voted "all the above".
But if your running for political office, you should vote "screw the American people more". The way you'll be elected. |

Have Obama turn in both his passports and start investigating his administration.

View Quote I honest to God hope he does. Too bad their are too many power-hungry Old Guard among the GOP elite and corrupt socialists in the Democrat/Media for even a chance for him to be elected. Yeah, I'm looking right the fuck at you, McConnell and Boehner. ETA: And I want to see fucking ACTION, not words. |

If I was the President, I'd kill myself and spare the American people.
Oh...You mean if I was a future President, not necessarily the current one. |
|
What I would do:
Get rid of all the regulatory departments and agencies; save for the DoD and FBI (CIA can be put under the DoD) Get us out of all useless and entangling alliances (U.N and NATO come to mind). Actually focus on allies who want to take an interest in defending their own interest. Focus on utterly crushing the Jihadis once and for all. Give powers back to Congress, the courts, and the States. Encourage the repeal of the 17th amendment. Build up a national defense strong enough to safeguard our interests. Actually make America the envy of the World again, instead of the sad laughingstock. |

First day on the job...
Arrest Eric Holder and anyone else who have committed crimes against the American People Demand Congress send me a bill abolishing the IRS effective 90 days from my inauguration, same bill forgives ALL past IRS debt. Demand Congress send me a bill abolishing the Affordable Care Act, Insurance bought thereafter across state lines like car insurance, tort reform, allow hospitals/doctors to write off care expenses to poor, encourages them to care for poor...keep preexisting conditions clause but allows Insurance co's to write off costs at a certain level for their care... Demand Congress send me a bill that enacts a flat tax on all Americans of 15%, same law states combines state and local taxes + Fed tax may not exceed 22%, ZERO deductions, EVERYONE PAYS, it also reduces corporate tax rate to 15%. Allow every corporation to repatriate corporate funds back into the US with zero penalties, zero tax liability, allow corporations to bring back US jobs and deduct the cost/salary/benefits of every repatriated job off their tax liability. Put Islamic world on notice to police themselves..turn in all suspected terrorists/radicals amongst themselves...next mass casualty attack by an Islamist group gets Medina reduced to rubble, after that Mecca glows in the dark for 10,000 years, after that I level the Dome of the Rock and fully fund the rebuilding of the Second Temple. Any other attack after that gets ALL MOSQUES in the US leveled and in any country that gets US Foreign AID... Roll back .GOV spending to 2008 levels Congress send me a bill rolling all BATFE operations into the FBI, all BATFE personnel are terminated Pardon and release every first offender person incarcerated in the US for a marijuana conviction. Have lunch... |

This thread is proof that GD has lost its marbles. The POTUS doesn't even have the power to do most of those things.

Its a common misconception to think that the presidency is an institutionally powerful office. I encounter such a belief from my students quite often. It's not SUPPOSED to be, but the last 7 or so years have seen increased usurpations of Congress' Constitutionally granted powers into the hands of the Executive branch, and they, for the most part, don't do remotely anything about it except twiddle their thumbs and look sheepishly about it. I want the Fed (specifically the executive, which HAS gotten far too large during the last 110 years) to shrink back to it's pre-1900 levels, maybe even revert back to it's pre-1861 levels. |

What institutionally has changed in the last seven years? The president has increased in relative power since Jefferson, and the accusation of an Imperial Presidency has some merit, but this is nothing new and not unique to the Obama administration. The scope of the federal government is an issue that goes beyond the presidency, and your desire for a smaller government would require all branches of government to work in concert. |

Yeah but this is coming from a group of people who constantly speak on constitutional rights. Threads like this make you wonder if even 80% of posters have even read the constitution. |
