Anyone know what stock, action, and barrel they are using? Choate Plaster stock & Phillipine ingenuity. Sometimes a good thing, sometimes bad. If they do things right, they have a gun that will do a lot of damage to the police and military. Or it could blow up on the first shot. Such is Filipino quality control in jungle workshops. But a 50 that runs for a half dozen rounds before blowing up can still put a half dozen troops or cops in their graves. This is a serious threat being presented by the MILF and other Filipino rebel groups. Oh, nice photo of Sarah. |

I will be meeting with several current and former SAF when I go home in a little over 2 weeks. I'm sure they'll get a big laugh over this.
ETA: Don't discount their weapons manufacturing capability. They've got some ingenious folks down there. That want to kill friends of mine. |

As much as I like .50 BMG, I was looking for the other kind of MILF.

I'm sorry to hear some lost were personal friends of yours. Please tell the SAF and MIL you meet that they are appreciated by me and many others I've spoken to. I know you also help them out in various ways, thank you. |

The closest I've seen a riot almost break out while in the Navy occurred when we were watching the news prior to our shift lineout.
There were about 20 of us in the briefing room, and we watched a news video of Moro rebels with an imbedded US camera crew ambush several Philippine army trucks and kill everyone on board. I remember Weisen, the Professor, and one or two others running around shouting at the TV wanting to execute those treasonous reporters, aiding and abetting those killing our allied soldiers. |
